I was just logging in to youtube and after entering my password I got a prompt similar to the password prompt that said to enter my Android PIN to verify it is me. I thought "No way" and entered a bogus number. I used 1692 and it logged me in. Is there nothing that youtube (google) does not want to know?
Please leave a comment about whether or not you get this prompt when logging in to youtube. I suggest NOT using your real PIN though!
I don’t do Youtube on my phone
Probably a phishing attack. I can send you a link detailing how to protect yourself if you post your home address and a credit card number along with the 3 digit security code.
I’ve never had this happen. I’ve had YouTube premium for the past year or so, and an unpaid account for years prior.
No
Google already knows your real Android pin, along with your Youtube and Google passwords, and they have all your data and personal information.
Google and Youtube are spy applications.
Every once in awhile I’ll do a Google search and it will ask me to verify I am not a robot. Why the hell should that matter?
I have not seen this. Looks like a scam to me.
The robots already know too much. We have to keep them from taking over.
I have had some issues with account integration on the Andriod. I see an update went this week for my device and those unexpected reauths went away. I expect some software has been updated before the base OS was updated is causing your issue and you are looking at PIN request from your phones OS.
Sounds like a phishing site. Did you click a link somewhere that was supposed to send you to YouTube?
I was not using my phone, it was on a laptop PC. This also happened yesterday.

scam
Just logged in on my PC - no pin requested. I think you’ve got “something going on” that is not the ‘ordinary’.
The Android OS is a spy application.
It’s hilarious. In the name of “Free” and Open Software, what’s running on these machines is the most locked-down bunch of garbage ever created. The OS is the virus. You can’t control ANY of it.

Ooopps!

Many suspicious activities have been occurring for 10 plus years on that platform
If it is a Windows machine, that is a bad thing
