If they did this to my kids on a Friday during lent, I’d definitely be outraged. How are these coaches so dumb? Same point could have been made with a cheese pizza.

What a confusing story. It was a voluntary workout, so why was he punished for not being there? The school fired all of the coaches, including the one whose only involvement in the incident was reporting it. I’ll bet they knew about the kid’s dietary restriction, too. Otherwise, how was it punishment to force him to eat the pizza? It all makes sense, though, when you consider how a lot of schools have gone over into Bizarro World.
Hebrew Israelite? Where have I heard that name before? Oh yes, it was the group that started harassing Nick Sandmann during a march for life parade in D.C. Not to excuse the coaches, but I’ll bet the player involved had attitude that the coaches were fed up with.

We got punished by running laps and hundreds of pushups.
