They do that a lot in soccer. I saw at least one tweet early on that was mocking him saying no one was around him...before people realized this was not a flop.

I think the general public would be surprised to learn that more than half of the people who have CPR outside a clinical setting, don’t make it.

OTOH, witnessed cardiac arrest caused by something other than a heart attack (most cases of spontaneous cardiac arrest like this are NOT heart attacks), where CPR is immediately available, has a much better chance of positive outcome than arrest from heart attack.

Here we call that the “Crappie flop” .

If you do that, your are probably gone.

Sad.

Pericarditis is usually painful. Myocarditis not so much

My grandpa had something like that for years.

He was a grumpy old cuss, but the doc said it was very painful.

Later killed him.

You don’t need to be a doctor to understand that people with myocarditis aren’t playing soccer.

That’s more than dehydration. Assuming the medics know what they are doing you do not defibrillate someone unless they are pulseless

A man is down and the first thing brought up is the vaccine. That is disgusting. Keep your agenda to yourself. Healing thoughts to the man.

“and all of the other thousands of people who will have a heart attack today.”

I think the same way when a celebrity tragedy is reported ... how many others are suffering from a tragedy that we never hear of.

You really think that the first question is wonder what is tax study is. The antivaxxers are ghoulish trolls, salivating and aroused over anything that could be a death from a vaccine in order for you to be right. You are disgusting.

In no particular order the differential diagnosis is:
Q on T syndrome
Prolong QT (familial)
Shock from other causes (distributive / hypvolemic)

All of which are more likely in an athlete than any other — we have no idea what occurred seconds before the collapse — was he hit on the chest, did he take a ball to the chest.

Your instant need to blame vaccines is as uneducated as disgusting.

But thank you for again proving that your antivax acolytes pray and hope for bad things to happen to people. Really reveals a lot about your side.

It is a possibility.

However, over the years we have seen many strong young athletes go down like that and never recover.

It is often from an undiagnosed heart condition.

I see a lot of people say that Fabrice had a heart attack . A lay person equates heart attack with cardiac arrest. In the case of Fabrice it was cardiac arrest.

The only CPR I have see is on television programs and people teaching it using the Bee Gees Stayin Alive song.

The Office did a funny clip of CPR using the song.

“A friend of mine had the vaccine a few months ago and is now in the hospital after undergoing several strokes and emergency surgery to repair a hole in his heart which caused the strokes. Previously healthy and athletic man in his 40’”

I’m very sorry for your friend, but this is anecdotal. How many affected and how many not?- millions.
