LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Governor Andy Beshear is dropping COVID-19 restrictions across the state on June 11 thanks, in large part, to the vaccination effort in the state.

However, just because you get the vaccine doesn’t mean your completely immune to catching the virus again. It happened to one Kentucky woman after she caught COVID-19 and was fully vaccinated.

The vaccines that are out there are extremely effective at what they do, they keep you from getting very sick and dying from COVID-19. That said, there is a chance you can still catch the disease again.

Neil Diamond was one of those rare artists who I didn’t really like but somehow miss hearing on the radio.

I like some of his real early stuff (like “Kentucky Woman.”)

But I think the later schlock like “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers” with Babs and “Heartlight” is barf-inducing.

Not trying to be too sarcastic. Some people want to take the test just to convince themselves they are (or are not) sick or need the affirmation.

I asked my doctor if I should get antibody tested. I dont think I have been sick, though my wife might have in Feb 2020. She had a high fever that lasted two days them all was well. She was never tested either. So we dont know if we were exposed or not. I have treated it as if we were not. Anyway, the doc says it wouldnt do any good to test because they dont even know what level of antibodies is effective against the unknown level of viral load you may become exposed to.

The recommendation to take the vax results from the risk of contracting a serious case of COVID19 being worse than the risk of a vax side effect. So its a risk analysis. Each person should make their own decision regarding the risk they want to take.

Fomites from some infected git that didn’t wash his hands, could have been picked up literally anywhere.

6 months from vax to infection is way too long for the vax to be the source of infection but it is long enough for the immune response to wane, or for the influenza virus to mutate and evade the vax derived immunity.

That your roommates and coworkers didn’t get it from you says your mama taught you right.

Agreed...when asked by friends and family for my opinion of the vaccine, I respond with a suggestion they refer to health professionals they trust and check out some research from respected outfits they trust.. Here is an outfit I trust.

But that's just me. When it comes to my health, I don't have the training to sift through data or opinions from sources I don't know.

Vaccine co’s never said it was 100% .

They are however hovering around 90% effective and people who do get it have less covid side effects if thye get covid.

In the end, I believe President Trump will be blamed for all the negative effects of the vaccines, now and in the future. He took advice from so called medical experts, who lied about just about everything to do with the virus, the vaccines, and the treatments. I wish he would stop bragging about the rapid development and deployment of the vaccines, because it’s going to come back and bite him in the butt. He’s not a doctor or a scientist; he was only going by what he was told, but that won’t make any difference when the media et al, come after him for it.

The damned jab is NOT designed to prevent infection. It is designed to elicit an immune response to the spike protein. Why in the hell is anyone surprised when someone who received a medial treatment for Sars 2 spike protein comes down with the disease! Do you people have any idea how badly you’re being conned?

It’s not the infections that count, it’s who counts the infections.

Yes, nine-year-old Caroline.

No wonder it was a popular song at Penn State games. {cringe}

Feel sorry for her. Should be taking HCQ or Ivermectin as a prophylactic.

Never has Chinese Flu do to my immune regimen. Will NOT be getting the jab. To many bad things written about it. Wild(?) rumors also.

Neil Dimond was 28 in 1969 when he wrote Sweet Caroline.

She was 11 or 12.

He has given two different stories as to how this song was written, one that it was after seeing a pic of her on a horse with her parents, and the other that it was written really for his wife, but he needed a longer name than hers to fit the lyrics to the music.......................

It’s not just inaccurate.

NYS counts repeat positives of 4he same patient as new cases.

Bet other states are, too.

Also, a nasal swab is a lot more likely to deliver a false positive than a saliva test due to viral debris taking far longer to clear out of the nose than the mouth. So if she’s getting nasal swabs...
