Confections in Lufkin, Texas announced on Thursday that it would be selling rainbow cookies for Pride Month. The bakery, located in East Texas, soon faced backlash for its decision.
"Today has been hard. Really hard," a Facebook post from June 3 read. "We lost a significant amount of followers because of a rainbow heart cookie we posted."

Please, continue with the boycott. This current support is transitory.

Reminds me of the Chic-fil-a thing, except it was national.

The homosexuals lined up around the corner to support them. But first, they lost business until the gay word went out.

Vote with your dollars. Don’t support businesses that don’t meet your standards if you can help it.

All three local network news sites didn’t have any updates over the weekend except one added this story.
Lets see if the new customers continue to support this bakery or if they were just a one time flash mob. Lets also see if their old customers come back. Businesses don’t learn not to play politics.

Yep. This is not the Chic-fil-a one. This will not end quite so well for them.

Back in 1972 I learned in business 101 that when you buy a product you are “voting for it.” I’ve carried that perspective with me ever since.

This is how a free market works.
It appears they lost regular customers. Lets see if the new customers return. I know that when I stop going somewhere, for whatever reason, I don't return.

The current influx of support will fade away after it has run it's course. But those opposed will be around for the long haul.

About the same time, another business rule I learned was that the easiest customer to attract is the one you already have. Maybe the rules have changed.....

Another rule: If a customer likes your product, he will tell a friend. If he doesn’t like it, he will tell ten.

It will be like The Dixie Chicks, sure liberals voice their support, but did they buy their records? This will be a one-time shot, and this bakery will be bankrupt within the year.

"Back in 1972 I learned in business 101 that when you buy a product you are “voting for it.” I’ve carried that perspective with me ever since." You don't have to go to school to learn that.
Common sense still works.
