Amazon will continue to check for other drugs and will keep on screening people for job positions that are regulated by the Department of Transportation, according to the company’s consumer boss Dave Clark.

“In the past, like many employers, we’ve disqualified people from working at Amazon if they tested positive for marijuana use,” Clark said. “However, given where state laws are moving across the US, we’ve changed course.”

Medical and recreational cannabis use has been legalized in a growing number of states, but it remains a classified substance at the federal level. …

Really looking forward to ordering an economy pack of razor blades and receiving a big screen TV entertainment set.

Feel free to bogart that joint, my Amazon friends

What about testing for evidence of conservative thoughts?
I’ll bet that won’t be stopping anytime soon.

Ah, hell. Just take it to the next inevitable step and give it to them. Those $500 sign-on bonuses to attract warehouse workers obviously isn’t working.

A freind of mine worked at Amazon wharehouse here in So Cal a couple of Xmas's ago. When he was hired he was given a pre-hire drug saliva test along with all the other candidates. He was sure he would be rejected because he is a regular smoker of weed. Thing is, they hired him and he figured they weren't testing for cannabis or they didn't care.

Point is, I think they haven't been rejecting for pot use for a while, at least a couple years. Of course, rec use is legal here these days, so maybe that's why they're doing that here.

Your order may or may not contain what you ordered.

"That’s great news for attorney of the next person who has an Amazon truck plow into them."

Or the person who is run over or impaled by a fork lift driver in a distribution center. They thought the job was treacherous before. I wouldn't want to have to be around machinery run by people who could be under the influence.

That explains why I got an empty envelope with nothing in it a while back. It was supposed to contain a USB hub. Either the human was high, or the robot that packed it was.

Is cannabis use compatible with holding on to a job one has been hired to do as a regular employee with a regular schedule. Daily use? Weekly use? Full time? Part time? Graveyard shift? Fully compatible? Marginally compatible? Incompatible? One Guy has his thoughts but would like to hear those of others.

That’s always been the case but when CDW (are they still in business?) sent extra stuff they didn’t want it back and made good on shortages. I guess there inventory program was difficult to use. In Canada they only would ask for test for a reason not everyone has to.
