Novavax (NASDAQ: NVAX) stock lost almost a third of its value over the past month driven by the company’s announcement that it would delay seeking Emergency Use Authorization of its Covid-19 shot in the U.S., U.K., and Europe to the end of September, falling behind its initial plan of filing by June. This means that Novavax will probably miss out on lucrative initial sales in developed markets, as about half of U.S. adults are now fully vaccinated, while the E.U. has increasingly given its Covid-19 vaccine orders to Pfizer. That being said, we still see some positives for Novavax’s Covid-19 shot and its stock.
Global vaccination drives still have a long way to go. Per the Bloomberg vaccine tracker, enough vaccine doses have been administered to fully vaccinate just 11.2% of the global population. Now Novavax’s shot seems well suited to do much of the heavy lifting in getting the global population, particularly in emerging markets, vaccinated, given that it is easier to store compared to mRNA vaccines, relatively cheap, and apparently very effective.
The shot could also be preferred over vaccines from the likes of Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca, which have faced issues of rare but very severe side effects. Moreover, Novavax said that it was expanding its late-stage Phase 3 clinical trial study to include children ages 12 to 17 and this could also help the company cater to a largely unvaccinated population.
Many experts think that Covid is likely to become endemic with the virus continuing to mutate, potentially making Covid vaccine shots an annual occurrence, much like flu shots, and Novavax might be particularly well placed to cater to this market.

First they say they have a “vaccine “ that by definition is not a vaccine, then they put an experimental label on the untested “ vaccine “, then they say you need two jabs, then they say it does not prevent Covid but reduces symptoms, then they notice people die from the jab, now they expect the poor schmucks to line up every year for their yearly dose? WAKE UP AMERICA.

I haven’t got any jab yet, because this is the one I following.
I understand Novavax is also working on a combination Covid/Flu shot to be taken yearly as Flu shots are now.

Same here...and also following treatments. Suppose to be a treatment in the pipeline coming that knocks down the virus completely. Was on the news.

Exactly- more than a year ago when Covid hit MSM spewed fear- I knew something was stinky. I carried on, went to work, church,vacation,shopping,
visited 89 year old Mom,....changed nothing, even refused to wear the face diapers, ....I survived “ the killer Covid” flu just fine as did 99.9 percent of America. Fear, politics, and an agenda destroyed us. What has happened to America?
Oh, those evil vaccines!
Only if we could go back to pre vaccine times, enjoy dying of smallpox, diphtheria, polio, tetanus, tuberculosis, etc., etc, etc.
Kids would enjoy measles, mumps, whopping cough. They would love to have few weeks out of school guaranteed!
Vaccines were the greatest discovery in humanity. Before them, most people died of infectious diseases.
We had no cancer problems, because most people died of infectious diseases before they could ever get cancer or Alzheimer.
Actually, because of “herd immunity” (I hate this term), even the antivaxxers benefit from vaccines.
We do have something going for us though - they did not put their whole passport thing into place before they had to let up on the mask stuff. That is significant because we have tasted our freedom back. They have been successfully derailed, even though that is not widely apparent. Whatever it was that they wanted to do to us - they have lost their momentum, even ever so slightly is significant.
And, now Fauci and Gates are being widely found out as liars.
