The FBI has joined the hunt for the operator of some kind of high-performance drone that flew “dangerously close” to a Customs and Border Protection helicopter over southern Arizona last Feb. 9. According to report from KOLD News, the Tucson CBS affiliate, the drone buzzed the CBP helicopter near Davis Monthan Air Force Base and then followed it for an hour, going as high as 14,000 feet. That’s well beyond the capabilities of commercially available drones and it clearly has the feds concerned.

Are the Red Chinese encamped just south of the border, or hidden in a Blue city nearby?

No clear or even grainy photos of this high performance drone?

Also, no new and clear photos of Big Foot and her Asian husband, Yeti!

So the Mexican Mafia invested in a little high tech and let it be known that they can get close.

My first thought was ‘cartels’. They can afford it.

Never got impression that cartels were ‘technology creators’, they’d have to have tech partners - and what better partners than their drug and precursor suppliers?

Interesting thought.

They didn’t say what kind of drone, if one of these helicopter things or fixed wing.

This is the real reason the FAA wanted to control drones.
They didn’t want Americans watching how our country is being destroyed.

You can buy off-the-shelf drones on the internet that can fly 4 miles high in good conditions. They aren't cheap (>$1,200 or more). The FAA doesn't like it, but they shouldn't pretend its something unexpected.

Red China owns or controls many ports in South America now. Been acquiring them for for years. Tied to trade deals. Related:

FAA has drone/UAS regulations: https://www.faa.gov/news/press_releases/news_story.cfm?newsId=25980

You would be very extremely wrong. They have an intelligence division, a construction division. They literally have a mining engineering division. They have a financial unit. And yes, they have specialists in technology and drones. Think small country government and you aren’t far off.

Sounds like a “great” partnership for both, considering their goals.

There are only a few hobby drone that can fly that range and up to 8 kilometers. However none of them have an hour + flight time.....Most in the range of about 34 minutes.
