Actress Kirstie Alley's appearance on Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Today" led former President Donald Trump to extend his appreciation for her support after the Wichita native claimed she faced backlash in Hollywood for being a Trump voter.
Alley, among the minority of outspoken conservatives in show business, told Carlson on Wednesday's broadcast that she received "insane reactions" from people within the industry when she first mentioned voting for Trump in 2016, leaving her to feel like she was in "The Twilight Zone" and "a blackballing situation."
"I was on a set and I spoke up. I didn't know it was going to be some huge deal. '(I said) you know, I think I am going to vote for Trump.' Some of the producers took me aside and go, 'I'm going to, too. But if anyone hears me say that, I will never work again," Alley told Carlson.

She could’ve done better with the Kobayashi Maru.
I really liked her in “Look Who’s Talking” a 1989 flick.
She was hot compared to long. And still looks great. Sad that they get blackballed over politics. If I was a celeb I would keep my mouth shut and make them millions and contribute to Trumps campaign. A lot are conservatives but don’t say anything.

I recently got Fox Nation and saw the whole interview. She’s a trip. Dropped the F bomb once, looked at the camera for a second and said oh shit, I’m sorry. She’s also a quiet philanthropist of sorts. Whenever there’s a natural disaster, she gets some truck drivers and pays to fill several 18 wheelers with supplies and heads to the disaster site. During Katrina, they drove around for days and finally ended up going to churches to distribute items. She used to try and get the Red Cross to distribute it but they said they would have to inventory it and didn’t have time. She finally got permission to set up right across from them and distribute her stuff.
Growing up in Kansas, she said going to visit a tornado site was just a thing everyone did. When they went to one, she saw guys with horses and wagons show up and just start quietly putting up a barn. They brought all the wood and other materials. She said that stuck with her. Turned out to be Mennonites.
Tucker’s doing a lot of good one hour interviews. The one with DeSantis was real good. I paid $0.99 for the first month. I don’t know if I’ll keep it. Lara Logan also has an investigative series. Each series is usually four parts. Tucker’s also doing investigative shows too though not so boots on the ground as Lara does. Tucker sends his team, although with the AR-15 one, he made sure to go to hickok45’s range. That’s when I found out Tucker’s left handed.
Haven’t found much else of interest aside from a movie starring Mel Gibson called Blood Father.
All the Fox personalities have some sort of show. I’ve got no use for most. Tucker does his interview show three times a week. Lara, a four parter every month or so.
I saw a not-well-known movie with KA decades ago, “Sibling Rivalry”. Very good comedic actress.
She voted for Obama twice it took her that long to figure out wait something is not right but at least she did find logic.
She and Tim Allen were great in a mid-90’s comedy where they both had to hide undercover with Amish folk. I can’t remember the title, but I still remember everyone in the theatre laughing their butts off when I went to see it.
I saw that one.
It was good and I can’t recall the name either.

I lived in southern Oregon in the late 80s. She and parker owned property outside of Jacksonville. We were rafting on the rouge river and I got stuck rowing the raft with the gear. Hot sweaty day. I pushed on past a raft holding on the shore. A pretty lady smiled as I grunted past. I later realized why she looked so familiar. Yup it was her! Had i realized I would have blasted her with the supersoaker. In a playful way of course. My brush with the rich and famous.
