That is easy to answer. The leftists have knee jerk support for the weaker party. Since Israel has superior airpower, and can bomb the terrorists at will, the leftists side with Hezbollah & Hamas.
The Left hates Israel and Jews because Jews have an allegiance to a power higher than and other than the State or an Ideology, an allegiance the state cannot co-opt and they are an eternally coherent People who the left feels cannot be trusted when they say that they do not Believe.

Further, the myth of “Palestinian People “ is a political term
There is no historical reference to the So Called Palestinians until well into the 20th Century because they don’t exist
There is no Palestinian blood line or DNA
There is no Palestinian language
There are Palestinian artifacts in archeological records
There are no Palestinian achievements in science, medicine, architecture, etc
And on, and on.
In fact, their only contribution to history after 1968 has been suicide bombing, airplane hijacking, homemade rockets and the murder of children. No wonder so-called “Palestinians” are so popular with Arabs and Europeans.

The left hates the Judeo-Christian western values which they consider the root of the patriarchy, and has been trying to destroy those for years.
The comms have picked up on that and are pushing destruction of those values to weaken the western states, and replace God with the government.

The Youtube algorithm offered me a video which, at first glance, appeared to be someone explaining the deep immorality of the Palestinians and how the Israelis are being victimized by the globalists.
And I thought: that sounds good. Why not?
But I had misinterpreted. It was the opposite. The argument lacked data, logic, or persuasion, but it attempted to explain that the Palestinians are angels and the Jews are pure evil. Swell.
But now, since I clicked on that, the Youtube algorithm now fills my screen with dozens of pro-Palestinian videos and anti-Semitic crap.
In the past, I have clicked on pro-Israel videos. After that, the Youtube algorithm tends to show me videos of cats and people slipping on ice.
Kind of makes me think Youtube hates the Jews.

If you are successful, it is because God has blessed the fruits of your labor and life. It is ridiculous to self-loath because of your success. The proper response is thanksgiving to God, NOT jealousy and enmity to those who are blessed. Success enables you to help others. The world view of the Left on this issue is the polar opposite of the correct view. They use their resources and success, NOT to help others, but to consolidate power and oppress others.
Weep with those who weep; rejoice with those who rejoice.
If conservatives like the flag, they will demand it not be displayed. If conservatives like the Boy Scouts, the left will call for them to be disbanded.
It happens across the board. We don't support gay marriage, to them it becomes a human right. Opposed to universal health care? It must be rammed down our throat in the dead of night. Secure borders? They must be completely opened with full benefits to all 'undocumented immigrants'.
Deficits are to be ignored. American traditions abandoned. Minimal standards for voting security? What are you, a racist?
A conservative president chooses not to release his taxes? It becomes, to the left, the most important issue of the day. You want to support business, they would rather see the business go bust.
Israel's biggest problem, is that conservatives support it. The left would rather back terrorists than get on the same page with us.
Because they Hate God, Hate Christians, Hate Jews.
So, they cast their own fate.
They serve the father-of-lies. He is frantic to pull all humans down that he can. He knows he is beaten, but wants us to be destroyed.
