Maybe a FOLDING knife is not such a good idea: https://www.kctv5.com/arizona-woman-finds-tires-slashed-and-a-severed-finger-in-her-driveway/article_cc05a9da-d593-511d-9300-a15af8a8235b.html

I use this everyday:

Kershaw Leek Pocket Knife (1660) 3-In. Sandvik 14C28N Blade

That is razor sharp and US made.

My EDC knife is actually a Leatherman Skeletool CX. I use it at work every single day.

Before that, I EDC’d a SOG Twitch II assisted opening knife. That sucker can be honed shaving sharp.

Kershaws are very nice, and you won’t hurt too much if it gets lost, unlike those trendy display box queens , (sebenza, koff koff)

Shortly after getting out of high school in 1974 I used some of my graduation money and bought myself a Buck 110. I still have it and carry it in my pocket or on my hip in its sheath. Sharpens razor sharp. I have many more knives but I seem always to default to the 110.

Spartan Blades. Pallas.

Above $100 but I’ve been carrying mine for 4 years now with no complaints.

I carry a Kershaw Ken Onion Leek clipped to my front pocket pretty much every waking hour. It’s nice and thin, quick opening and holds a razor sharp edge. I am on my 4th one as I occasionally forget when I am flying to leave it behind or put in a checked bag. Sometimes you have time to take care of it, sometimes you risk missing a flight. It’s small. More a tool than a weapon, but in a pinch... For something a bit larger I prefer the Leek’s bigger brother, the Shallot, but that one’s discontinued and most other Kershaws are now made in China.
