Hello FReepers. I am curious about your favorite folder knife. I'm looking for recommendations from people who carry for every day use. Preferably made in the USA and want to stay under $100 but will consider higher.
Do not want a cheap stainless blade. Need something that sharpens to shaving level.
Thank-you in advance.
OOPS too bad. I use the flat screwdriver for that. Only tool I have never used is the toothpick.
Yea, I'm sure I needed something real slim.
Both CRKT (Columbia River Knife & Tool, AKA “cricket”) and OKC (Ontario Knife Company, particularly their RAT1 and RAT2 models) are modestly priced and punch well above their weights.
I have both RATs, which make for durable skinning/field dressing knives, and several Matthew Lerch-designed CRKTs. My EDC is Lerch’s spring-assisted CRKT FireSpark.

When I go out on the town I carry a Skeletool and I carry a Leatherman Wave with a leather sheath on my belt for work. On the Wave I use the pliers, screw driver, wire cutter, regular and serrated blade every day at work. I forgot to put it on my belt last week and had to bring in a bunch of extra hand tools to accomplish the same tasks I need to complete with the Wave. The 25 year warranty on the knives is also a great thing to have.
P99 looks Good,
A little pricey.
Friday night bump for more comments.
Nice! Welcome to the Spyderco cult.
