I have 3 of these including Hermann Szobel, 'Szobel' (1976). I got this one for free when I belonged to "Ears" IIRC where they would send you records for you to rate.

The one album by the disgustingly named Sex Pistols ranks as the best punk album ever and one of the most influential albums ever recorded.

Technically there were two Dukes albums, 25 O’Clock and Psonic Psunspot.

I own 7 of these.

More output from these people would have been much appreciated.

Not exactly a one album wonder. That was the 4th release of the Mothers and one of dozens written by Frank Zappa.

Almost none of it is album oriented. Fringe, definitely. Lotta punk on that list. Punk bands tend to explode. Including the Pistols, creator of the one song every punk must have in their library, Anarchy in the UK.

Wow, Frankie Lymon. He was from the era of singles, not albums.

I guess Joy Division would qualify as the best Two-Album wonder.

What was their US hit?

Interesting pick, with Glenn Hughes on bass and lead vocals (later Deep Purple and Black Sabbath) and the late Dave Holland on drums (Judas Priest).

Like blazes. Even the band members admitted that it was an attempt to sound like the Ramones’ first album, and the song “New York” has several references to the New York Dolls.

The Damned’s “Damned Damned Damned” was far superior musically, too.

Berlin published more than one album thus not eligible for this list.
