The jaguars would be no problem biologically. But this is actually a way for them to forbid any border fence, roads, pipelines, power lines, military exercises... you name it.
This would let the environmentalists grab control of a giant swath of land.
It obviously couldn’t do well in that area anyway. It went away.
There are no Jag dealers there?
We were all super happy when the insane DNR turned two female and one male mountain lions loose not far away.
Naturally, they immediately came to MY area and sat up on the ridge screaming at night.
Haven’t heard them since, as they’re probably trying to make their way back home out west.
Our DNR is full of sociopaths.
Killer bears and coywolves were not good enough apex predators, it seems.
I expect them to stock the local ponds and lakes with piranha and alligators, next, because why not.
Reintroduce them in Central Park...and while they are at it, wolves and rattlesnakes too.
How about we give these folks who want this to happen some small charming critters to grow with and love, then have the happy group go and live where jaguars live today.
I sincerely doubt they will be so enthusiastic about people living with jaguars after the experience of exactly how big cats feed themselves.
Well, the article posted before this here at FR was about an old Porsche so why not bring back the old 1960’s Jaguars, cars with real class, sleek lines, and hot women?
Turns out that Jaguars like the same migration routes as Cartel drug mules.
What an unexpected coincidence.
Can’t have effective border control infrastructure in those places.
Not sure of the value of this. You now have lions in almost all of the lower 48 states. You’re just setting up a food competition.
I remember fifty years ago when the animal rights groups and Hollywood glitterati called for the re-introduction of wolves to so many areas of the US. They have now become a problem in those areas.
Yeah, too darn many of those Mercedes around; need more Jags!
I totally support the reintroduction of dangerous carnivores. There should be a few reasonable conditions though. They should only be released on liberal campuses and Statehouses where the legislators have voted to reintroduce. The release areas should be fenced so nothing can get in or out. Jaguars, cougars grizzly’s and wolves would be fine. Oh, and these should also be gun free zones. Wouldn’t want to scare the poor things.
Wishing the so-called “environmentalists” could become extinct. They never seem to know when to leave well enough alone, do they?
