"El principal resultado es una reducción en la probabilidad de ser hospitalizados entre 52 y 76 por ciento, significativo al 99 por ciento, es un análisis cuasi experimental que permite identifica, aislar, el efecto del kit médico sobre la probabilidad de ser hospitalizados", afirmó.
Indicó que el estudio arrojó que entre aquellos pacientes que recibieron seguimiento médico por parte de Locatel y el kit de la Ciudad de México con el medicamento, las probabilidades de ser hospitalizados fue 76 por ciento menor.
"El análisis lo hicimos a finales de enero que concuerda con la evidencia de revistas especializadas en salud pública", dijo.
Agrego que "adicionalmente, entre quienes recibieron el kit, el seguimiento de Locatel reduce 29.5 por ciento la probabilidad de ser hospitalizado, respecto a alguien con kit, pero sin seguimiento".

Looking at this with 20-20 (2020) hindsight. Trump (and even more so Pence) failed the country miserably on Covid, and I’m not saying this from the Democrat talking point side. He allowed Fauci and the worthless CDC, completely take over the protocols for mitigating this virus (by their NOT ONLY AVOIDING, but DISCOURAGING and even PREVENTING mass distribution of HCQ and Ivermectin protocols be given out as Prophelatic Kits as soon as people tested positive). Pence as head of the Covid Task Force was completely worthless. Only focusing on Vaccine solution, thereby letting the states do whatever they wanted in the meantime. Utter failure that cost so many lives.
Thank you for admitting that yours is hindsight. It is also second guessing.
Your take away lesson for leaders, military commanders, and decision makers would be to never listen to any information or direction given you by the people who are in positions to do just that.
The mark of a good leader is to get rid of people that give you horrible advice, or at a minimum direct those in charge below you to take alternative course. Trump was already aware (Presidents will have the best intelligence available) that HCQ and Ivermectin were having on the ground success, but he did nothing (beyond mentioning it at that Covid presser, in a rather back-handed way that only gave more fuel to the deranged media, as opposed to forcing this development into the medical infrastructure). Me feeling is that he was too nervous to do anything that would cause an ‘uproar’ among the beuraucrats lest it would impact negatively on his election chances. That’s just my take.

This is understandable, but permit me to point out that those who are susceptible to persuasion by unsupported speculation, already have their own speculations. There are many, many people now on FR whoat do this, especially on the two most important issues of our time. The first sentence “De acuerdo con” does NOT mean “According to the” authorities. It means “In accordance with”. In other words the authorities approved this, rather than just reporting it. Will check tomorrow for any other significant changes in meaning.
Well, it is speculation for the most part, and frustration the rest. What I cant understand (maybe you can explain it to me), is why did he allow the CDC and gov medical establishment to denigrate the reports coming in worldwide of the positive effects of HCQ and Ivermectin? It could have saved so many lives. Republicans in Congress were even holding hearings with testimony from renowned doctors attesting to this fact in the fall of 2020. If the CDC is not answerable to the President, then who?

The White House was communicated with 3 times in early March, and Ruddy Juliani hosted Dr. Vladimir Zelenko on his show. Dr. Zelenko on March 23, 2020 sent his low cost outpatient treatment for Covid to health professionals worldwide with ccs to President Trump and Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows. This letter explained that ZINC was a virus killer, HCQ helped get zinc into infected cells, and Azithromycin protected lungs from bacterial infection, and very early treatment was essential. Dr. Z also sent WH an 11 part plan for attaching Covid and saving many lives. I don’t remember ever hearing about that plan at all.
President Trump and Dr. Fauci both spoke of HCQ and mentioned zinc a few times, but never explaining that zinc is a virus killer/stopper. Subsequently, only HCQ was mentioned. Then on May 14, 2020, Dr. Fauci announced an NIH study of HCQ and Azithromycin in hospitalized patients, NO MENTION OF ZINC OR EARLY TREATMENT. Later Dr. Birx reported she felt there was a Covid agenda at the White House she was being kept ignorant of. On a fall Stephen Cobert show Gov. Cuomo bitched that Mark Meadows kept bugging him to test HCQ in NY hospitals (no mention of zinc in that show).
So, some questions. Did President Trump or Mark Meadows ever see Dr. Z’s letter? Was the very short letter withheld from Trump because he liked short reports, or because some other agenda was afoot? Did Dr. Fauci see Dr. Z’s letter, if so, why did he drop zinc and proposed a study without it and not with early patients? Did Dr. Birx ever see Dr. Z’s letter?

At this time Dr. Fauci was very strong in his support of the Gilead Sciences Covid drug Remdesivir which had benefited from much NIH basic research for which testing had recently begun. The Dr. Z 3 drug protocol cost about $20 a course of treatment. It was reported that insurance costs per course of treatment for Remdesivir would be around $3,000. Now lets look at WHO and vaccines. At that time WHO was headed by a doctor raised for his first 2 years under the brutal dictatorship of Mengistu [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mengistu_Haile_Mariam] which received aid and comfort from Cuba and Russia. It is a long article and I did not see if China was also mentioned. WHO definitely appears to be under the influence of China. Also, some questions about Dr. Fauci and China interaction.
Vaccine maker Pfizer tried very hard to buy AstraZenica in 2014, but was rebuffed three times. Is that why it is hard to get AstraZenica vaccine in US? In 2010 Pfizer was the first big drug maker to take advantage of a legal decision reducing the opportunity of our elderly to buy cheaper, quality drugs in Canada [AARP report]. Recently I read that Merck (which I am told is now German owned) originally developed Ivermectin. India and Peru among other started distributing Ivermectin with good results. Now it seems that Merck (Moderna vaccine) has an upgraded version of Ivermectin which could be a real long term money maker even if the call for Moderna slacks off this year. Is this why so much hype is being made about deaths in India, which even at their height has only been about 1/3rd our worst weekly death rates.

I have done a LOT of reading on this. I had been curious about metal ionophores as a cancer treatment. There was no controversy on the idea of Chloroquine and HCQ as zinc ionophores. That was proved. The actual problem with zinc is homeostasis. Your body does not accept extra zinc because it is a deadly poison.
Which is just fine because in cancer therapy that is just what you want to do, just hold it to the cancer and not kill the patient.
There was work done, still is I think, on many metals but zinc was especially attractive because zinc signals FOR apoptosis in some cells, but AGAINST in others. It is a problem providing enough labile zinc to the cells, another is how to control it so it goes only to the cells you want to affect. There is possibly a way to do that, but I am pretty sure that taking supplements ain’t it. However, if you do find a way to get enough zinc available so that the HCQ can take it into the cells, it seems to me that you have created another general poison. There are plenty of those in cancer therapy that work very well. No good unless you can target sick cells.
During SARS1, there had been a suggestion about CQ and the ionophore effect. Epidemiologists who broke the CoViD-19 story mentioned it. You well understand the theory; the medcram video that got suppressed is a pretty good explanation, but research was dropped when SARS1 disappeared. Cancer researcher had gone in more promising directions.
In vitro, they could definitely get the zinc into the cells with HCQ. They WERE using human tissues so it all looked good, but squirting that amount of zinc and the HCQ into the dishes was easy to do. Please pardon my ignorance, I am sure I am over-simplifying, and I have no hard information on this next statement, but I think they learned that the original idea of selective apoptosis just does not work at all, so there is no reason to try to overcome other obstacles.
Now mind you, I do not say that Dr. Zev’s protocol is useless! It HAS a limited effect and theoretically it should help to the extent you have free Zn+, and if you use the whole recipe early. And please I have nothing to disprove any conspiracy theories involving Big Pharma and Fauci. He is either ignorant/stupid/lazy or he is evil/corrupt/conniving, take your pick. I expect the same from him that I get from the IRS, the BATF, the EPA, and the GOP, “Are they really that stupid or are they that evil?”
I am disappointed that HCQ did not do what I hoped. But I always wish way beyond reasonable practical possibility. I wanted HCQ to work on HIV for crying out loud. I am also disappointed about the Oxford/AZ vaccine, I was following that one closely, only because I understand it, unlike the mRNA shots which I have every hope will soon be modified to cure AIDS! I sincerely believe that vaccines are saving hosts of people, yet my dearest friends think they are a government plot.
Dr. Terry Tumpey at the CDC is one of my heroes. I am in awe of his work on the Spanish Flu. I have never met him, if I ever did I wouldn’t know what to say, I would gushingly ask for his autograph or maybe kiss his ring or something. Thank you for a long and thoughtful comment. I want to check more on metals as ionophores and toxicity. However, Dr. Zev has only talked about 5 to 8 days of high dose therapy. When I recently went for my J&J vaccine, I added Quercetin and 100mg extra zinc to the supplements I take every day and have for decades. I started the day before and continued for a week after. Except for the initial hour after the shot when I had a little jab centered tenderness, I had absolutely no sensation at all from the injection. I plan to follow that procedure with all my shots in the future and recommend it for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s innoculations. I think I will contact NIH and ask if they want to see how much immunity this 82 year old woman achieved. In other words does good nutrition enable vaccination to be more effective.
This morning I saw a heart rending story about toddlers with cancer. I wonder if anyone has tested the nutritional status of newly diagnosed people and especially children with cancer or other rare diseases. Blood tests for Vitamin D3, C, E, and others and minerals like Zinc, Calcium, Magnesiu, Selenium, and others. Because of the Big Pharma induced prejudices of young doctors, nutrition at a micro level is rarely considered by our current doctors. As a child with Measles I was kept in a darkened room, but I think my doctor also had me taking Cod Liver Oil. For respiratory illnesses she would also put swabs dipped in Argerol (a silver solution) into my nostrils and keep them there for a time.
There has been so much political talk about Medicare for All, which under current situations would make Big Pharma very happy. But how would we pay for it??? On the other hand if critical research was done in vivo on various nutrititional inputs, being able to subscribe Vitamins C, D3, E, zinc and others might be doable at the current cost, with major health improvements. I plan to think and research further on issues you raise regarding zinc and ionophore effect. Incidentally, in later communications Dr. Zev has liked Ivermectin as an ionophore, and Quercetin as one you can get in a health food store. He also likes Doxycyclin as a safer penicillin. His pre March research looked at successes in France by Rault Didier, and in Korea. One ionophore Koreans used was Kaletra, an HIV drug. There is so much to be studied and learned from successes of this pandemic if the funding can be found. By the way, QUERCETIN being an ionophore for zinc isn’t quite as effective as it could be be, because it is not too easily absorbed since it does not dissolve very well in a wet or watery environment. However I found that it will dissolve fairly well in vodka (alcohol) what I have done, by dissolving a substantial amount of QUERCETIN in vodka first and then diluting the liquid with water, about half and half. I know this procedure is not very scientific, however it breaks down the QUERCETIN enough so it is more easily absorbed by the human body. Even so, when the solution is stored there will be some separation of liquids, but shaking it will take care of it. Since QUERCETIN is not harmful, getting a little too much via this procedure doesn’t do any harm. I just thought I mention it.

Great post. I find it unconscionable that NIH/Fauci did not include Zinc in the HCQ study protocol. These people are supposed to be the best of the brightest in our medical infrastructure. I have to feel it was purposeful and designed to yield poor results.

We certainly need help from a higher power since our elected leaders and their appointees seem eager to avoid doing their job. Around the same time that Fauci was praising the start of a trial planned to fail, he was speaking glowingly of the Gilead Sciences new, high priced med, Remdesivir. I find it especially outrageous that when it was discovered dark skinned people were dying at more than twice the rate of light skinned people, no US health agency urged that dark skinned people take Vitamin D3, especially in the winter and when not spending time out in the sun. Incidentally have you seen the adds for people to join a class action suit against Gilead Sciences for misbehavior regarding their AIDS drugs in the Truvada family. In the beginning of this century it was discovered that these drugs could cause serious bone and kidney issues. For a decade GS continued to send out these drugs while the were on-patent, even though they already had a safer version in the wings to launch once the first batch became low cost generics. I see a number of potential class action lawsuits about various Covid negligent and worse behavior by Big Pharma and national governments.

I Googled the question if Luc Montagnier has predicted that all Covid vaccinated will die in 2 years. There were a lot of articles to pick from, so I picked the link below as sounding like a possible scientific source. It discusses a lot about virus mutations and other effects. At the end it says LM is most likely completely wrong about this. Two Indian scientists who understand French said he did NOT say everyone would die, but did say some other disturbing things. I will do more checking later.
