It’s just the flu, bro.

There are a few TBD items with the Coronavirus: 1.Will they resume the lockdown in the fall/winter when flu season picks up? 2.Will there be a vaccine passport in any way? 3.When will laggards like churches, schools and hardcore blue states finally see the light?

I will post a Flubro thread if anything related to these items, or something else interesting pops up. But the daily thread is over now that the CDC has relaxed somewhat. It’s been great fun and I have enjoyed discussing Coronavirus items with Flubros and Flubras over the past 15 months. I like to think that we influenced many Freepers, who are, of course, more influential politically than the Illuminati. I also like to think that in some small way we made things better and freer here in America. Well done FRiends!

A report from inside Oregon government...

“Someone working on the vaccine passport initiative in Oregon says she’s been working with the international committee that is responsible for rolling out the vaccine passport worldwide and that Governor Brown is hoping that we will just be a part of that process. She did tell me as part of that process that Louisiana is the first state that’s coming out with a digital passport combined with a digital drivers license so your ID and your vaccine passport will both be attached to your phone.”

Wow! Thank you for that interesting (and scary) information. The forces of tyranny are always one step ahead of us…most people never thought about the possibility of a phone app “passport.”

Impimp, thank you so much for maintaining this thread. It gave me hope, because even though I live in FL where we never had statewide mandates and lockdowns, we had cities and counties that went nuts…not to mention the general populace.

Rather than taking or believing De Santis’ common sense approach, they reveled in being panic-stricken…I think a lot of them really enjoyed the fear. Even today, working at an historical site that I run, I saw visitors (mostly tourists from elsewhere) coming in voluntarily masked to the eyeballs.

So thank you for providing a place for a reasonable antidote to fear, since even FReepers, including some I wouldn’t have expected, seem to have been stampeded by the government sponsored panic.

It was refreshing to come to your thread, and thank you once again.
