Previously, states reported all cases of breakthrough infection, regardless of severity, to the CDC. States will continue to report all positive cases of Covid-19 to the CDC — including any mild or asymptomatic breakthrough cases — but the agency will not differentiate between mild or symptom-free cases in vaccinated versus unvaccinated people.
It is unclear if states will continue to collect mild or asymptomatic breakthrough case data.
The CDC spokesperson told CNN that the change in breakthrough case reporting would not affect the understanding of vaccine efficacy.
“CDC is still doing studies on mild breakthrough infections, so people should not be worried that we are going to miss important data related to mild vaccine breakthrough infections,” the spokesperson said.

Yes. This way the vaccinated with ‘asymptomatic covid’ get to spread it around and blame it on the unvaccinated. The vaccinated will not quarantine but will socialize at will.
They are hiding the fact that the vaccines don’t work at the same time they are going to pad “Covid cases” with persons who are vaccinated and use that number to pressure for more lockdowns and restrictions.

We dont want the actual statistics to accurately reflect exactly how many people are truly infected after vaccinations.
That might not be very good for us to have a more accurate count.
If mild or no symptoms then the vaccine did it’s job of getting your body to make antibodies to COVID-19. That is how vaccines work, they do not prevent the virus from entering your body (”getting COVID”).
Also they are hiding the fact that vaccinated can shed the spike proteins. Read the document.

In so many words, as the numbers show the Brilliant President Joe Biden with his equally Brilliant VP Kamala Harris have totally stopped the corona virus in the USA.

A little reminder they WERE REPORTING the information that they now are going to no longer “track.” That’s right, the vaccine does not stop you from contracting the virus; it also doesn’t stop you from spreading the virus.
And based on the numbers the CDC did report until two weeks ago, it does not stop you from hospitalization. Eight percent of all breakthrough cases were hospitalized and 132 died.
What this change is clearly about is the CDC wants to “stop” the public from determining efficacy.
Remember those 33,000,000 covid positive cases that the CDC has been dutifully reporting for 15 months now were also mostly asymptomatic/mild.

How do you report an “asymptomatic” case? You going to test every single person in the USA over and over? “Breakthrough cases” requiring hospitalization are running at 0.0000118174% of immunizied people, far, far less than the trial data of “95% efficacy”.

Is that how the CDC reported the 20 million they have already reported? I suggest they use the same methodology they had been using to date.
And I find using the total number of immunized persons as a denominator very misleading unless each and every one of the immunized has been exposed to covid. We know from the past year+ most people have not been exposed to covid during the entire pandemic.
The CDC is reporting 33,662,534 cases, those were people who volunteered to be tested or were admitted to the hospital, etc.. As a pandemic wanes less testing is done. Yes, using all immunized people “as the denominator” is misleading (to some), but the number of breakthrough cases verses the claimed efficacy of 95% is so small (0.0000118%) there is little doubt of the 95% claim holding up....there are always going to be “immunocompromised” individuals that vaccines are less effective on.
The CDC has been compromised a long time. With a name like "centralized" and "control" they've always been a nest of commies. 40 years ago when the hysteria of the day was AIDS, the CDC alarmed the general public as much as possible for funding and power. Politics is the art of telling the big lies. Politics, science, and medicine just don't mix.
