Fully vaccinated guests are free to attend Hersheypark without masks, according to a recent announcements from the amusement park’s Twitter page.
Citing the recent update regarding masks from the Center for Disease Control, the full operational update post from Hersheypark stated that “face coverings and social distancing for those who have been fully vaccinated will no longer be required when visiting Hersheypark.”
According to the posts, the new policy was “effective immediately.”
“Throughout the pandemic, we have followed the guidance from our national and state health experts to provide a safe environment for our guests and team members,” the post read. “The CDC and the Pennsylvania Department of Health concluded that those who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear face coverings in most situations.”
The update from Hersheypark emphasized that the mask exemption only applied to guests who have been fully vaccinated. Vaccinated guests are also still welcome to continue wearing face coverings.
“It’s important to note that all guests two years of age and older who are not fully vaccinated must wear face coverings during their visit, except while eating or drinking,” the statement said.
The announcement concluded that there are no current measures to verify with visitors whether or not they have been vaccinated, and the plan for the immediate future will rely on guest cooperation with the policy.
“At this time we will rely on our guests to accurately follow the guidelines based on their vaccination status,” it said. “It is important that we all continue to remain vigilant and work together to prioritize the health and safety of those around us.”

Again, how do they know?
They don’t.
“...who are not fully vaccinated must wear face coverings during their visit, except while eating or drinking...”
Wouldn’t you think that the virus would head straight for your unprotected gaping maw while you’re eating? I mean, supposedly it’s THAT smart!
It’s gonna git ‘cha!
That will be the policy’s biggest challenge: there’s a lot of dishonest people who will lie about having been vaccinated, regardless of who it might put at risk. Some have even resorted to violating Federal law to make and/or purchase fake vaccine cards (https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/us-govt-warns-that-buying-fake-covid-19-vaccine-cards-is-a-crime/).
I identify as vaccinated.
why won’t you practice what your tagline preaches?...
If anybody needs to go on wearing the stupidity masks it’s the sheep who’ve taken the KarenVax, all indications are that they pose a danger to other people.
10% of the population had it, 60% had a shot, 10% immune, so we’re at 80% i.e. herd immunity
Return to Step 1.
Repeat forever.
The CDC dropping mandatory maskerbation is really kabuki theater. Spineless politicians want to drop the maskerbation mandates, but don’t want to make the decision themselves. Now they can pass the buck to the CDC.
It won’t be long before they start demanding “show me your papers” to prove you are a member of the Vax Covidians.
Try enforcing that. Hahahah. You don’t have a vaccine get you mask on...
I’m sure a chance to spend a few hundred dollars in this horse’s ass of an amusement park will get unvaccinated folks to the nearest vaxx center!!
If they require full vaccination proof to go to movies, athletic events, amusement parks, etc then you can expect a thriving black market on proof of vaccination cards!
#2 should probably read something more like:
“To drastically reduce the risk of contracting a disease that hospitalizes 5% of those infected and causes long term damage to the heart and lungs, and to reduce the risk of your body becoming an incubator for new variants that could make the situation significantly worse for everyone, including yourself”
Sure, never any shortage of people ready and willing to break the law to accomplish their goals.
Conservatives used to be very much in favor of law and order. I guess that became too inconvenient for some.
