“A cyber attack with COVID-like characteristics would spread faster and farther than any biological virus. Its reproductive rate would be around 10 times greater than what we’ve experienced with the coronavirus.”

This is word salad garbage.

This is on the level of saying that exchanging bodily fluids over the internet will cause your microwave oven to become a cyborg. Or something. What? What is a "cyber attack with COVID-like characteristics". That's meaningless. And do cyber attacks have reproduction rates? And is the reproduction rate of the actual COVID-19 the most salient point? Perhaps the infection rate? Or mortality rate? But they want to focus on the reproduction rate?

I don't think these people have any idea what they're talking about.

What I do think is that the US government is planning to take the internet away from us. Because, you know, cyber attacks. And Russia. Definitely Russia. Always Russia.

Simplified: computer viruses spread faster than biological viruses. Well, daah.
