Mrs. Copaliscrossing and I were looking for a TV show to watch and decided on New Amsterdam because we liked the lead actor when he was in The Blacklist. Well, it all started out pretty good and we were getting into it then... ugh... the far left political messaging started getting stronger and stronger with subjects like hiring disparity between minorities and white people and other pet liberal causes. Sooo disappointing. The same thing happened to us when we got into Madame Secretary and Lone Survivor. We have decided we are better off staying with the streaming content that usually stays to a sane storyline instead of pushing a political agenda. Still have to be careful with that.

I reached the same point with “The Affair” - started with an extra-marital affair in the Hamptons...somehow ended up in LA about some black woman’s victimhood because someone at a party mistook her for wait staff. That was the end for me. Currently done with A Million Little Things as they pursue Asian American victimhood because of Covid. It’s bad enough that we have to life with these stories on the “news”...I have no room in my life for FICTIONAL victimhood.
We liked Prodigal Son, but they started in on the woke BS, so we stopped watching.
Glad it got cancelled.
I removed it from my automatic TIVO recordings a couple of weeks ago when the main guy was taking down honor pix of great doctors — because most of those doctors were white and male.
I have dropped several programs the last few years because they had become too radicalized. Thanks to streaming I watch more overseas and old TV programs.
All the TV shows are doing it. Good for a couple of years and then they make a transformation into SJW bs
Yep, I was enjoying the show when Max was just an idealist with the guts to tackle tough problems for the little people in defiance of the bureaucracy. Not a real world scenario by any means but the characters were interesting and it was a decent drama. This season, hard left into racism, BLM, gays, climate change, blah blah blah. I get this crap all day long in the news, it’s not why I watch TV shows. I am done with it. The Ministry of Propaganda wrecks everything it touches.

Stopped watching Blacklist after Raymond got preachy about gun violence.
We used to enjoy American Ninja Warrior, but they went woke with one team wearing blm tshirts. So much for that.

Although my recommendations may suck, I’m very picky and rarely complete a film nor series that gets stupid.

Buy an antenna. Check out the retro networks. Quality from the golden age (50s, early 60s) of TV on numerous channels.

Rural sitcoms and westerns? Nope. Two of my most hated personal genres in my book. If it’s not sci-fi, I ain’t watching.
NA is horrible woke crap. I’m finding the FBI TV show isn’t far behind. I voice my displeasure to the Wife for recording them, goes nowhere.
I watched that FBI show once when it first came on. The theme was something about racism and it was woke and ridiculous at the same time. The agents investigating whatever it was were obviously offended and disdainful of some character who was an outspoken racist. They wore their moral superiority on their sleeves so we could know whom to despise.
I have been watching The Chosen. I know it’s about Jesus and the deciples but it is extremely well done, crowd funded, and has a beautiful story line. It’s clearly a miracle it’s even being produced. 2 seasons so far and more are planned.
