RE: Ivermectin may have some mild antiviral effect, but the real key is vaccination. They are only at 2%. Thankfully, it looks like they will be getting more soon.

1. For prophylaxis, why does it have to be an either/or thing? Either you use Ivermectin or be vaccinated?
Why can’t it be a BOTH/AND thing? Do both?

The vaccine and Ivermectin are both tools in your armory to fight the virus, I don’t see why these tools can’t both be used.

2. For those who have been already infected, then it’s useless to vaccinate the person.

Since the goal is to stop the progress of the disease in order to prevent hospitalization and death, what’s the alternative if you don’t want to use Ivermectin?

Are you going to wait till the disease is so serious that a patient has difficulty breathing?

Early treatment is important. What’s the alternative in this case, since you don’t want to try Ivermectin?

Ivermectin is super cheap, superior to HCQ and is easy to manufacture. After 50 years the Pharmas have the manufacturing process down pat. Good luck in the Philippines. They are smarter than us.

I didn't catch that part the first time I read the rant. One problem is that most people aren't all that great at math, especially if you throw some uncommon metric units in there. They might know what mm, ltr and kph mean, sort of but when it comes to Ivermectin...

Pill form for human use -- 200 mcg of ivermectin per kg of body weight

Horse paste -- dose rate of 91 mcg ivermectin per lb (200 mcg/kg) body weight

So not only do they have to figure out what mcg is but they have to convert kg of body weight to lbs of body weight. I've also seen pill form that used mg instead of mcg and then they would have that to convert as well. The chances of avg Joe getting that right are pretty slim. Then of course there are other items in the protocol, like an antibiotic and various vitamins. Sounds like this guy might have gotten a little (or maybe a lot) of horse paste but that's all. Sad part is that if he had internet savvy, he could have bought the Ivermectin + antibiotic as a kit with correct dosages. The rest can be had over the counter at the local pharmacy.

Sorry, I was my son-in-law was hospitalized in Maryland with China Virus 19 aka Covid-19 around the 12th of April, given the Infussion. I was diagnosed two days later, I’m 70, High Blood pressure.

Both of us were given the Ivemctrem, 6 tablets the 1st day, 6 tablets the 3rd day and 6 on the 5th day, Also the Z-pac, Also, went on the Steriod inhaler twice a day. 1,000 Mg of vit. C and
50 mg Zinc.

I ran a mild fever for 3-4 days, after that normal stuff, some loss of smell and taste.

He’s completely recovered spent one day in the hosp. His O2 levels were 90 % or just below thus the infussion, both of us now have O2 levels of 96% PLUS.

Thanks and your post was very informative. Since I am dodging the Covid Vax I am looking into ivermectin as a preventative. I may go the veterinary route or ask my Doc for the ivermectin tablets. I do not think he will give me a prescription for ivermectin as as prophylactic.

Excellent reply to the gasbag Doc. I would have said the same. For Ivermectin and HCQ to work the Covid patient must take them early to middle. Not late and when he is in the ICU.

Ivermectin looks more effective than HCQ. Take Zinc too and Vitamin D 5000 units daily.

Late to this, but Kory et. al. make a good case that ivermectin can be a useful therapy (along with other measures) in all phases of COVID.

The current data on HCQ do indicate that it’s primarily useful if administered early in the viral stage.

Fluvoxamine shows evidence of efficacy in all stages, including so-called “long covid”.

Ivermectin is a Horse Dewormer.
Dewormers will flush out your intestines and liver. In a good way. I think that by stimulating both these actions, this is 50% of the reason Ivermectin is an effective anti-Covid medication.

Well, that’s maybe possible. The thing is, while there are several possible mechanisms of action, no one really knows at this point “why” it works against Covid. But the empirical evidence is so overwhelming, at least at an epidemiological level there’s no question “that” it works.

An awful lot of medical “mechanism of action” theories about various therapeutics sound an awful lot like Kipling “Just So” stories anyway.

And yet plenty of medical people also refuse the ChinaVirus "vaccines" as well.

Even established vaccines do not have an impressive safety/effectiveness record - the recent anthrax vaccine, polio vaccine development (Cutter, SV40), Rotashield, and as for effectiveness, the regular flu vaccine is somewhere around 40% effective, historically.
