DRAPER, Utah (ABC4) – The day after his COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine shot, 17-year-old Everest Romney felt his neck swelling. In the coming days, he suffered from severe headaches. His mother, who tells ABC4 the pediatrician initially dismissed the symptoms as a pulled neck muscle, says she was convinced it was something else.
“He could not move his neck without the assistance of his hands,” says mother Cherie Romney.
Plus, now her son suffered from fevers and incessant headaches.
Finally, after more than a week of the symptoms, the Corner Canyon High School basketball player and his family had answers: two blood clots inside his brain, and one on the outside.
“The hardest thing was I let him get that shot. And he was healthy and well before,” says Romney. “But you question it, you can’t help but question it when it all goes wrong,” she added.
Her son plays competitive basketball seven days a week, which means high contact physical activity that could have possibly aggravated the swelling caused by the vaccine.
On Friday, Everest left the ICU, but his eyes are still swollen and the road ahead is uncertain.
Cherie says she has been overwhelmed with support not just locally, but around the country. People are praying and sending messages of love, which she says are holding her family up during this time. Going forward, she says she wants parents to make the best decisions for their children, and for doctors to understand this new vaccine might bring new challenges to conventional wisdom.
She doesn’t want to discourage parents, she says, because each parent must make the best decision for their child. Still, with her son now hospitalized, she wishes her choice had been a different one.
“It was pretty awful,” says Romney.

LOL. In young healthy people.
Spitballing may be fun but did you do a literature search or is it acceptable to just throw out theories that support a point of view and obscure a problem that should be investigated?
All I have to add in regs’ to my prior to you.
Talked again to my former pulmomologist. He told me to go and get what amounts to an antidote.
He is former military medical. So draw your own conclusions.
There are on average 500,000 Americans with blood clots every year.
There is a genetic trait also which presents in younger people.
More Americans die from blood clots every year than AIDS, and Breast Caner COMBINED.
You wanted research. You got it.
Blood clots are nothing new unless of course one is keeping count of 1-3 Possible vaccine reactions daily........slow trickle of “shock”.

Cancer was the second leading cause of death, after heart disease, in the United States in 2019. In 2019, there were 599,601 cancer deaths; 283,725 were among females and 315,876 among males.
Not even in the top twelve and very rare in young people.
In 2018, there were 15,820 deaths among adults and adolescents with diagnosed HIV in the United States and 6 dependent areas. These deaths may be due to any cause.
Nearly 40,000 women die of breast cancer each year in the US.
Leading causes of death worldwide
The list of leading causes of death worldwide shares many of the same causes with the U.S. list. These causes of death include:
heart disease
stroke
lower respiratory infections
COPD
lung cancer
diabetes
Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
diarrhea
tuberculosis
road injury
Do you want to try again?
What say you, vaxholes? The kid’s taking one for the “team”?
Goes well beyond the ignorant mom. Schools and colleges are mandating.
>> A result of lockdowns.
A possible result. Many athletic programs have continued in various capacities.
Data and Statistics on Venous Thromboembolism
60,000 to 100,000 Estimated number of Americans who die each year from venous thromboembolism (VTE).
* The data on this page are from the article, “Venous Thromboembolism: A Public Health Concern.external icon”
The precise number of people affected by DVT/PE is unknown, although as many as 900,000 people could be affected (1 to 2 per 1,000) each year in the United States.
Estimates suggest that 60,000-100,000 Americans die of DVT/PE (also called venous thromboembolism).
10 to 30% of people will die within one month of diagnosis.
Sudden death is the first symptom in about one-quarter (25%) of people who have a PE.
Among people who have had a DVT, one third to one half will have long-term complications (post-thrombotic syndrome) such as swelling, pain, discoloration, and scaling in the affected limb.
One-third (about 33%) of people with DVT/PE will have a recurrence within 10 years.
Approximately 5 to 8% of the U.S. population has one of several genetic risk factors, also known as inherited thrombophilias in which a genetic defect can be identified that increases the risk for thrombosis.

Blood clots kill more Americans every year than AIDS and Breast Cancer COMBINED.
I do t know if that’s the reason in this case or other cases.
I do know it has been brought up numerous times as a reason why Lockdowns are so unhealthy and increase the number of certain health issues.
These are not my own ideas but ligament concerns voiced by Conservatives and Doctors opposed to Lockdowns.
Indeed the lockdowns introduced numerous issues for PE students that include both physical and psychological health issues, and also domestic violence in hopefully the rarest of cases.
The problem is that when you group blood clots that way you are including pulmonary embolism, stroke and heart disease as well as other rarer conditions.
Blood clots in healthy people under 30 are seen rarely, more often with BCP or with other chronic disease. To compare that to sudden catastrophic thrombosis in healthy teenage and twenty year olds is disingenuous. It is not an accurate summation for what you are assembling as a thesis.
A stroke is from a clot or a bleed.
There is a genetic factor that presents in younger people. So there are out of the 500,00 yearly average some cases of younger people with blood clots.
This post is regarding one younger person. Not many.
You don’t know what cause this person’s condition and neither do I.
VAERS doesn’t include conclusions or any follow up info or patient history.
But I do know it happens with young people and children, usually from my own experiences from a large bone fracture, for example.
There are fatty embolisms and blood embolisms.
A Pulmonary Embolism is the result of one or the other....fatty or blood.
A CVA (Stroke) is primarily caused by a blockage (a clot), or a ruptured vein......a block or a bleed.
Nit-Picking small tiny details isn’t going change what is.
One teenager had blood clots who happen to have been vaccinated.
260 Million Americans have now received at least one vaccine injection.
More than half.
That means the odds are, someone that has a heart attack, stroke, asthma attack, ear infection, bad hair cut, burnt dinner has been vaccinated at this point.
“ Romney doesn’t want to discourage parents from letting their kids get the vaccine because she believes each parent must make the decision for their children, but she wished her choice had been a different one.”
An idiot before and she continues to be one.
I’m so glad my dr’s office who is a leader in the field supported me when I said I didn’t want it.
You’re reaching.
Not only is he a *very* unlikely candidate for catching the virus, he is also *very* unlikely to spread it.
At some point people need to understand risk, rewards, odds. I think our society has become incapable of putting anything into perspective in this regard.
I’m sorry. I think we should agree to disagree.
To a person with my training you are grabbing a bunch of conditions that are associated with embolic phenomena (now including fat emboli as well as strokes and other predisposing conditions) and treating them as though they have any relevance to healthy young adults without predisposing conditions, trauma or cancers. You even tried to add in people with genetic predisposition to TCP.
That is cherry picking, arranging the data, packing the sample and editing criterion so that you can prove your point. It is wrong to minimize just as it would be wrong to try and panic people. A prudent peson will be cautious knowing that there have been some terrible drug mortalities & morbidities that were not recognized for 3-5 years after the drugs came on the market (ex. Clear cell cancer in daughters of woman who took DES, Thalidomide)
There is something going wrong, healthy people are dying. The % is not high but for a vaccine which is preventative for a disease where most are mildly ill, many people think that any risk of dying from the vaccine is too high. % does not matter if your child or mother dies because of a vaccine; they are still dead.
I would never consider the COVID shots for myself or my family but if others add up the risks & benefits & decide otherwise that is their right. I am very happy to leave you with wishes for a good evening. We may better agree on a different topic.
Did you forget that the top two causes of death, heart disease and stroke almost always involve a clot?
Define “immediately.”
You have not understood the discussion. Coronary artery disease and the mechanisms that cause strokes may involve a form of clot but just as David, you are ignoring that the clot is a result of those disease factors.
The number of strokes & heart attacks is irrelevant to the phenomena of massive sudden, often fatal clots due to a “vaccine”, just as the fat emboli from long bone factors, the clots due to malignancies, BCP and immobilization post surgery have nothing in common with the COVID related clots. Different causes, different ages, different circumstances, different composition of clot
The COVID/”vaccine” clots are due to the material of the virus, infected or injected. Some people will be vulnerable others not. At present no way to know who is which beforehand.
This was a bio weapons program that "accidentally" lost control of it. Who-what-when-where and Why. The last to understand fully is the why.
