A new drug is being floated to treat COVID. How will the government, the medical industry, and the media react?
On March 17, 2021, Emory's non-profit drug development company DRIVE announced its discovery of a new antiviral drug, called molnupiravir (formerly EIDD-2801), which can be administered to outpatients in pill form, and which
appears safe and reduces SARS-CoV-2 to undetectable levels in COVID-19 patients after five days of administration, according to data from a Phase II clinical trial in the United States[.] ... Although remdesivir and antiviral monoclonal antibodies have received Emergency Use Authorizations from the FDA, they must be given intravenously or by injection. In addition, drugs like molnupiravir could flexibly tackle SARS-CoV-2 variants, which have emerged as a concern in recent months.
Additionally, "EIDD-2801 has broad spectrum activity against a number of diseases of public health concern, including influenza, SARS-CoV-1, MERS, chikungunya, Ebola and equine encephalitis."
Ridgeback Biotherapeutics and Merck are involved with the licensing, testing, and manufacturing of this drug. Merck recently announced a non-exclusive licensing agreement with five generic Indian drug companies to manufacture and distribute it in India.
When it comes to COVID therapeutics, whether they be older, repurposed drugs or hot-off-the-press wonder drugs, the watchword (or phrase) seems to be curb your enthusiasm!

There is huge money from people like Bill Gates behind “saving humanity.” My problem with this is, what, exactly do they mean when they say saving humanity? (Oh, and enjoy products made by slave labor performed by...uh...people they don’t know. Ya know? I see a problem there.)
Remember...drugs do not cure...they alter symptoms.

I got the J&J vaccine yesterday, but not without problems.
I went in to Walmart with my ID card, my insurance card and my Medicare card.
Walmart told me I couldn’t get vaccinated because, I already received the vaccination.
I went home and called Medicare (actually online Chat). They confirmed that a vaccine was administered to me in San Diego. I informed them that I hadn’t been to San Diego in at least 15 years. They asked a whole bunch more questions and finally decided that someone in San Diego was using my Medicare number. This caused them to put a fraud lock on my number for California and they cleared things for Buffalo and New York.
I went back to Walmart explained things to them; they checked and I was approved and received my J&J shot.
This is what happens when there is no restriction on illegals coming into the country.

Generally, vaccines are very low profit!
Covid may be exception, because President Trump wanted them so much and was willing to pay the price.
Otherwise, vaccines are drag, nobody wants to make them.
The problem is, they are usually one shot and done, no repeated business. No good for business.
The money is in medicines. People dying of diseases are willing to pay any price. When you are going get real Covid, really hard, you will pay a lot more than the jab is worth!
But the best money is in repeated maintenance medicines. Think cholesterol, blood pressure, insulin etc. The best moneymakers by far are antidepressants. There are a lot of crazy people around, and they are very reliable, repeated customers.

From news organizations falsely claiming HCQ can kill you, The Lancet agreeing and then retracting the story since it was a hoax. To the transparent misuse of PCR tests to over diagnos Covid (even many on FR still use their numbers.) Appears the garbage is here to stay. Many Conservatives in name only are advocating for Vaccine passports. Things are a little alarming.

Because in this case, none of this was ever about public health.
