Starlink Mission (tonight - 10th use of this 1st stage)
SpaceX on You Tube ^ | 5/9/2021 | SpaceX

Posted on 05/08/2021 11:59:16 PM PDT by Paul R.

SpaceX is targeting Sunday, May 9 for launch of 60 Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The instantaneous window is at 2:42 a.m. EDT, or 6:42 UTC, and a backup opportunity is available on Monday, May 10 at 2:21 a.m. EDT, or 6:21 UTC.

This will be the tenth flight of the Falcon 9 first stage rocket booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Crew Dragon’s first demonstration mission to the International Space Station, the RADARSAT Constellation Mission, SXM-7, and six Starlink missions. Following stage separation, SpaceX will land Falcon 9’s first stage on the “Just Read the Instructions” droneship, which will be located in the Atlantic Ocean. Both of Falcon 9’s fairing halves previously flew on the GPS III Space Vehicle 04 mission.

If it’s a clear night, I can see it from Myrtle Beach and as it goes up the coast as well as the higher part of the re-entry firing of the reusable booster.

I placed my order for Starlink’s service and paid the $99 at the end of February. Does anyone know when I should be getting anything from them?
I’ve read that orders could take around 6 months. Has anyone received anything after placing their order?
If so, what should I expect?

We are in an area held hostage by one high speed provider so this is of interest...the $99/month is ok it’s just the $499 non-refundable modem/uplink cost.

Be very interseted in hearing your results when connected

“SpaceX is amazing.”

You can say that again. When I think about how much time, money, and blood was spent building a spacecraft that looks like an airplane and compare that to what SpaceX is doing to get reuseability, I feel embarrassed for NASA.

It should. There should be NO Space X, “Space Force”, etc. I GUARANTEE both are lots of domestic and foreign enemies, etc. taking over the capabilities of ALL our REAL branches of the military listed below.

There should only be NASA, and our other branches of military (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserves).

Saw my first Starlink train the other night, quite an interesting thing to see fly across the sky.

I wasn’t sure how they meant that. But Google says the Falcon tech has been used 120 times with 118 successes. So 10th reuse of an individual rocket makes sense.

"There should be NO Space X, “Space Force”"

I don't understand your objection to commercial space flight that has obviously cut through the bureaucracy of NASA. With all the great minds at NASA, why did none of them think of a booster rocket that could land itself and be used over and over? That said, I've marveled at NASA's accomplishments through the years.

I also don't get your objection to the U.S Space Force. Yes, China will try to steal anything the US produces, but we have to try to stay ahead of them. I'm not sure, but isn't China developing killer satellites?

Space warfare is coming, IMHO.

I signed up March 31. Located just south of Houston.

I was told late summer to early fall.

I thought I read somewhere that it somewhat depends on where you’re located and when the constellation will be filled out in your area.

There should only be NASA,

So you were perfectly happy with us having the Russians ferry U.S. astronauts to the Space Station, while we’re waiting for NASA to get their crap together.

I suspect Elon will have us on Mars in the next 5 years or so, while NASA can’t even get SLS in the air, despite starting in 2011.

And I say all this having worked for NASA at JSC for 10 years on the Space Shuttle. In the 80’s we still had tube-based equipment, and the only reason they finally broke down and upgraded, was the fact they couldn’t buy tubes anymore.

to answer your question this is the 10th flight of this first stage and landing. not sure how many time a single first stage can be reused

Thank you for your service!

Yes, space warfare is coming to the U.S.A. via domestic and foreign enemies using/in “Space X” and “Space Force” against the rest of the U.S. military and then the American populace, etc.

NASA and the already existing branches of the U.S. military are having their targeting, positioning, etc. capabilities taken away by “Space X”, “Space Force”, etc. I GUARANTEE THIS IS ALL TO TAKE OUT THE REST OF THE U.S. MILITARY FIRST, THEN THE AMERICAN POPULACE.

And I guess you believe so called Elon Musk (made up name/BS) is good? He could only be BS ing by saying what people like us want to hear.

Also, remember, the “news” LIES about EVERYTHING.

Also, we do not know who of politician, public figures (including so called ‘Elon Musk), etc. is as they purport to be out of the earshot and eyeshot of the U.S. military and the public, etc.

Thank you for your service!

You are right, we should not have shuttled Russians, etc. That is the fault of the federal government “ordering” NASA to do that.

Also, the federal government is the one who weakened, etc. NASA to purposefully destroy it to one day bring about BS “Space X” and “Space Force” for all the reasons I have already mentioned on this thread.

Also tubes, hardwire, etc. is what should have been/should be continued to be used instead of these satellites, software, etc. hackability, remotely accessed/misdirected/turned off/etc. technological and electronic evil BS.

#16, 27
I upgraded my home internet speed yesterday from 70mbs to 200mbs.

I was paying $50.95 and now it will be $60 and I suppose tax. I was told the speed increase could take up to 1.5 hours to show up. I rebooted my modem and router 3 times and no change between last evening and mid morning.

I called Spectrum today and they boosted the speed to 400mbs for the same price for 36 months. I rebooted the modem and router and pc and get 467mbs now!!

Webpages load as soon as I click on a link.

I was lucky that it did not take the first time. They sent me to retention and they on their own doubled my speed.
