A peer-reviewed research has claimed that global ivermectin use can end the COVID-19 pandemic, as the medicine significantly reduces the risk of contracting the deadly respiratory disease when used regularly.

"We did the work that the medical authorities failed to do, we conducted the most comprehensive review of the available data on ivermectin," said Pierre Kory, MD, president and chief medical officer of the FLCCC. "We applied the gold standard to qualify the data reviewed before concluding that ivermectin can end this pandemic."
A focus of the manuscript was on the 27 controlled trials available in January 2021, 15 of which were randomised controlled trials (RCT's).
Consistent with numerous meta-analyses of ivermectin RCT's since published by expert panels from the UK, Italy, Spain and Japan, they found a large, statistically significant reduction in mortality, time to recovery, and viral clearance in COVID-19 patients treated with ivermectin.
"Our latest research shows, once again, that when the totality of the evidence is examined, there is no doubt that ivermectin is highly effective as a safe prophylaxis and treatment for COVID-19," said Paul E. Marik, founding member of the FLCCC and Chief, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Are you able to do simple arithmetic? Four thousand deaths in a day in a country four times the size of the USA is a routine day in America. And that’s a RECORD for India. Overall deaths are higher than reported, around 600,000 total so far per government clinicians in Delhi. That’s a 150,000 for America on a per capita equal basis. That’s 25% of America’s death per capita. This is a direct per capita total excess deaths comparison.
India is 75% lower in deaths than America! This is far lower even given the tragic circumstances.
Thanks for the thoughtful reply. First, I’m not trying to advocate for or against this: and your own experience is vastly greater than my own. But, that said, there just seems to be too much smoke around this to say that there’s no fire.
Your point about India does not appear to be supported by the information generally available. Distribution has been spotty , and regional, and data collection is a trainwreck.
Your second point is much more salient, imho. This piece in the popular press simply reiterates Kory and Marik’s paper that claims to have found strong statistical evidence for efficacy based on their own meta-analysis. Tess Lawrie made similar claims based on her own independent work. They could be wrong, and I suppose that they could both be liars, but that seems a bit of a stretch.
I know that you’re busy, but you’ve repeatedly posted here that “this stuff doesn’t work”, and repeat that FLCCC is “stuck on data from nine months ago that is now shown to be incorrect”. Where was it shown to be incorrect, and by whom? And more specifically, are these meta-analyses simply garbage? That’s a strong claim, can it be supported?
Yes, that much is obvious. Doesn’t that add urgency to the search for an effective therapeutic agent that can actually be used in India’s circumstances? Even if it’s only 20% effective, wouldn’t that be worth it?
I’ve been watching the numbers in India and other nations for a year. Canada, America, Great Britain, Australia, Sweden, the EU. Careful monitoring of the most realistic models using each nation’s population data. I predicted between one and 3 million deaths for India last fall - October 2020. While they were predicting victory. This doesn’t surprise me.
Why does the math have to be therapeutic OR vaccines? It seems obvious to me that we need both. They are not in competition, they should both be used when needed and appropriate.
I would really love that IVM lives up to the hype that the FLCCC gives it (heck I posted the article), but while the best evidence I’ve seen supports the belief that it has some effectiveness, it’s not a panacea.
Same with the vaccines. We really need both. If IVM doesn’t work, we had best find something that does.
Make the argument.
At this point Big Pharma has a hit team going after Kory. They don’t want anything to do with IVM, because they can’t make money. Now that governments are spending billions of dollars and individuals are not feeling the cost the Big Pharma companies think it’s their chance to get wood on the ball so they’re going to diss anything to do with low cost alternate treatments. Big Pharma is as bad as Big Tech.
If there’s any therapeutic that is deemed to be working, then no vaccine can be given on an experimental basis. That is the reason that big medicine, big Pharma has not even been working to try to prove that there are therapeutics that are effective. It seems that everything related to this coronavirus is evil.
