A peer-reviewed research has claimed that global ivermectin use can end the COVID-19 pandemic, as the medicine significantly reduces the risk of contracting the deadly respiratory disease when used regularly.

"We did the work that the medical authorities failed to do, we conducted the most comprehensive review of the available data on ivermectin," said Pierre Kory, MD, president and chief medical officer of the FLCCC. "We applied the gold standard to qualify the data reviewed before concluding that ivermectin can end this pandemic."
A focus of the manuscript was on the 27 controlled trials available in January 2021, 15 of which were randomised controlled trials (RCT's).
Consistent with numerous meta-analyses of ivermectin RCT's since published by expert panels from the UK, Italy, Spain and Japan, they found a large, statistically significant reduction in mortality, time to recovery, and viral clearance in COVID-19 patients treated with ivermectin.
"Our latest research shows, once again, that when the totality of the evidence is examined, there is no doubt that ivermectin is highly effective as a safe prophylaxis and treatment for COVID-19," said Paul E. Marik, founding member of the FLCCC and Chief, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Well, I’ve seen that statement posted, but it’s not clear that is actually the case. Some states in India are rolling it out, others have lagged. It’s certainly not uniform.
It has been widely used in Mexico City for several weeks now, and cases have plummeted, even in the absence of widespread vaccinations. It’s not clear if that correlation means anything, which is why there’s a controversy.
It appears that the dam has broken, and it’s going to be more widely deployed. We’ll find out. And to be clear, I’m just posting the media report, and am certainly not advocating for anyone to rush out and buy a supply of horse de-wormer here in the US.
But who would make money?
My comment was really directed at the quotes in the posted piece. Kory came out with “this will end the pandemic”, which is almost certainly not the case. Marik just said “this is a safe and effective treatment”, which is almost certainly true.
I certainly would like Kory to be right, but at this point it appears that this drug, which is safe, cheap and widely available can help a lot of people, especially very poor people. It’s not a magic bullet, but is one thing that actually exists right now, that can be rolled out in third world conditions. Seems unethical to not allow that at this point.

India has 4 times the population of the United States, crammed into a land area that is 3 times smaller than the lower 48 states.
Any virus is subject to dramatic proliferation in high population-density areas.
There is certainly something fishy about all of the official opposition that any therapy has recieved.
It’s not just ivermectin.
There was intense opposition early on to corticosteroids. There was opposition even to a heparin protocol early on.
And let’s not even talk about hydroxy. The proof’s in for all of those, they all have efficacy. Not 100%. Sometimes not even 20%. But the energy directed against them is....suspicious.

If it was the panacea then the place that has an abundance of Ivermectin and manufactured a kit call Ziverdo would not be getting slaughtered.
By the way, the doctor who established myfreedoctor.com took Ivermectin, HQC, and a host of other things. Still was hospitalized. Still needed an infusion to recover.
FLCCC is stuck on data nine months ago that is now shown to be incorrect. It should concentrate on what really is important in treatements. There are another half a milllion in India today who will tell you the widespread ivermectin distribution has nkt ended the pandemic
False. India is not “getting slaughtered”. Per capita death rate is considerably lower than the USA and Europe. Family is in New Delhi including a physician uncle. This is simply their first big wave so yes given the population of India it’s a tsunami. Ivermectin is in limited use there - not widespread- just cured 4 relatives of mine. It can work in the early stages.
