CLEWISTON, Fla. – A woman was fatally shot and at least three others were injured at the Brown Sugar Festival in Clewiston Saturday night, according to the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 9:30pm, 911 began receiving multiple calls reporting a shooting in the Harlem Community of the city.
Hendry County Investigators say that Deputies were in the area of Harlem Academy and 12th Street when they heard gunshots. The deputies immediately responded and found the victim, later identified as 20-year old Evereonna Sankey, a licensed certified nursing assistant from Lee County.

The shooting occurred at the Brown Sugar Festival, an annual event held during the first week of May. The focus of the festival is Black Heritage and the event raises money for scholarships.

Then there’s MLK Blvd in Eugene, OR. Top flight medical facilities at both ends of a two (?) mile long street with Autzen Stadium (U of O football) in the middle.
Appropriately enough, the county juvenile “jail” is across the street from the stadium.

The brown sugar festival? That is cultural appropriation of a bunch of skinny white British dudes. No wonder someone got shot.
I avoid any events and or gatherings regarding blacks...and never regard their calender celebrations.

I’m stunned it not national news. Not!!!! Every shooting involving a white guy is shown in a loop for days. Of course, colorado and now this are ignored.
Every cop who responded was racist, of course!

Same Miami media that will carry “news” about any alleged “racist” deed in any state in the union.

Well, I guess that’s just how young people roll in those neighborhoods.
It don’t take much. And it is always changing.
Should one enjoy celebrating birthdays, it is best if one avoids gatherings such as this.
