Meghan Markle today announced she has written a children's book called The Bench, which is inspired by Prince Harry and her son Archie and comes illustrated with pictures of a red-headed soldier.
The Duchess of Sussex, 39, said the book was inspired by a poem she had written for Harry on Father's Day the month after Archie was born and would explore the 'special bond between father and son' as 'seen through a mother's eyes'.
The story, set for release on June 8, will be illustrated by bestselling Californian artist Christian Robinson, with Meghan saying she wanted the story to be told through an 'inclusive lens'. Meghan will also narrate and audiobook.

Does it describe the incurable problem of whiteness that plagues humanity? Or, that each white child has to wear a racial dunce cap for their first 18 years!
Lol the next Beatrice Potter with circus animal characters surely.
Inspired by herself. Sounds about right.
I think of the Archie comic book character whenever I read about these people now.
She uses a lot of words to say absolutely nothing.
Somehow she even made a children's book about a father and son all about her.
I guess someone must have told her that Beverly Cleary recently died, and that there was now a yawning vacancy for the position of one of America’s most beloved Children’s Authors that only Her Karenthic Majesty Queen Meghan could *possibly* fill?
Especially since JK Rowling has been cancelled, and all...
/yes, weapons-grade sarc.
Sounds sweet ♥️
How funny, there’s a book on Amazon called “The Boy on the Bench” about a boy siting on a bench with his dad.
She sure knows how to destroy the bond between fathers and sons, as she did to Charles and Harry.
Maybe he next book will be on the bond between fathers and daughters, as HER father waits at a window to meet her husband and his grandchild
Who is the ghost writer ???
Archie, Veronica, Betty, who was the other boy ???
Archie was red headed, but Harry would be closed to the dummy...
Her publisher in the US is Random House.
Which is owned by Bertelsmann.
And if that last one sounds familiar, it should...

Forget the ghost writer. :-)
Check out the publisher.
She can write?
Could have fooled me.
And here I thought that one required an operational brain in order to write.
But I forgot about our media.
This isn’t about writing or book sales.
It’s about money laundering.
And whether or not the Harkles, thanks to Harry’s visa status, are paying anything in US income taxes.
FYI ping.
