So what is next? It’s not a question of the vaccine. You may want the vaccine for yourself and your children, you may not. It’s a question of being forced to take it. And if we allow ourselves to be forced to take it, what next? Anything is the answer to that question. If the authorities are permitted to control a health care decision this intimate — if they can force you and your children to take a vaccine you don’t want and are afraid of — what can’t they do? Nothing. They’ll have total power over your body and your mind, forever. What’s the limit to their power? There isn’t one.
A few parents seem to understand this and have taken timid steps to resist it. One anonymous mother posted the letter she wrote to the college dean when she learned her children would be required to get the shot.

She didn’t give her name, she didn’t give the name of the school. Good for her, but where are the rest of the mothers? The ones who are willing to go on the record? There must be some. They know that if they go public, they’ll be attacked immediately by Barack Obama and CNN and AP. They’ll be denounced as anti-vaxxers — as if there are actually many people actually oppose vaccines. There aren’t. Virtually every college student in America has already received some or all of the 15 separate vaccines the CDC tells parents to give their children by the age of 18. They’ve literally been vaccinated since birth. So Americans are for vaccines. They always have been for vaccines.

The Covid vaccines often have substantial side effects.
I got my second Moderna shot last Thursday (04/29/21). I was too weak to leave home Friday. By Saturday I was able to get around again. Tenderness in the muscle where I got my shot didn’t go away for about 80 hours after getting the shot. I’m back to normal activity levels now.
Each person who gets vaccinated upon employer demand that has to take a day off because of a vaccine side effect is likely going to cost that employer a day of sick pay and maybe even worker’s comp benefits.

I got the J&J shot a month ago and my only side effect is a sore arm.. .
Problem is, it is VERY sore. And still is. I can’t use my left arm much. And it’s been a month! It hurts all the time. I’d rather have covid—I’m 51 and thin and no comorbidities. Is this permanent nerve damage? I once did get a flu shot where my arm was sore for 2 months.
Next time, if there’s a booster, I will get it in my hip.
There’s absolutely no way that you can say with any certainty, that it’s safer for your 91 year old mother to be vaccinated, than not, when vaccine has only been approved for emergency use, and has only been developed within a year.
I was talking to someone the other day whose 93 year old mother tested positive with no symptoms. And her 98 year old aunt was sick with COVID. Her symptoms were like a mild cold.
What bothers me is, what about people who are allergic to these vaccines. There are always a group of people who are allergic. Will they be deprived of access to a normal life?

Of that group of people, how many have antibodies from having had the virus?
That would still leave a sizable number of people.

no. there is never certainty with any major medical treatment. it’s a probability or risk benefit calculation based on current knowledge. if at 80 with comorbidities you have a 1 in 10 statistical chance of dying from CCP virus and the vaccine has a 1 in 10,000 chance of dying from it, then it’s a no brainer (for me), protect yourself with the vaccine.
on the other hand, if you have a 1 in a million chance of dying from the virus (as a child would statistically per current knowledge). it’s another no brainer not to get the vaccine.
it’s not complicated, if you can take the emotion of fear out of it.
It’s such an unpredictable disease. I know someone in his mid-50’s with no comorbidities who is currently in the hospital with COVID pneumonia. He’s not improving yet. His occupation would have allowed him to get vaccinated many weeks ago, but he decided not to do it.
