It’s a nobody named Bowen Yang complaining about Musk. THAT is SNL’s real problem. They are totally irrelevant these days without a guest star.
What did he ever do to offend the sensibilities of liberals?
Proving the point that television viewers already know - Saturday Night Live lost its sense of humor decades ago.
I’d say it’s the character of some billionaires we can and should find objectionable, not the amount of money they have in the bank. Check out Andrew Carnegie, who I would suggest as a model for those who have earned and amassed fantastic wealth. What greater joy can than lifting up humanity on a large scale can there possibly be?
Not since the last land shark sighting…

The Garret Morris, cleaning lady Jimmy Carter parody sketch would NEVER be performed today.

It’s a New York thing! SNL creator Michaels: show gave Weinstein a pass because he’s from his city..

Cast members won’t be forced to appear.
It’s an improvement already.
What is this SNL they write about? I remember a show in the 1970s and early 80s that, although somewhat on the left, was VERY funny. It was known as ‘Saturday Night Live’. Is this some sort of immitstion of that old show?
I’ll stand for the billionaires. People don’t give someone a cumulative billion dollars without that someone giving more than a billion dollars worth of value in return. Yes, a person CAN be a million times more productive than others.
Might be interesting if the whole cast just walked off, and an hour before the show....then they recruit regular people off the street to fill their positions.
To me, the biggest issue isn't disparities in how much someone is worth. The biggest issue is disparity in influence, and by that metric people in the entertainment industry have way more influence and access to shape public opinion and push their agenda than the average citizen. WAY more. You never hear about that disparity.
You can see this disparity in influence throughout society, and it's incredibly destructive. Why should whether you went to the University of Illinois vs Harvard, Princeton, or Yale define whether or not you have ‘influence’? Why should ALL the Supreme Court Justices come from two law schools (Harvard and Yale)? Why don't we hear about the huge disparities defined by pedigree?
The reason we don't is because it's the pedigree and influence peddlers who are the ones pushing the agenda and the narrative.
“ destroying the planet” and doesn’t like women.”
He’s making electric cars. Isn’t that what they want?
Queers don’t like women, and Dems love queers.
I don’t understand their problem with Elon.
‘I got mine and don’t care that they didn’t.’ (Bernie has a plan 4 U)
‘We ought to be thrilled with “income inequality,” and proud to say so openly.’ (As I see it Rand Paul is the only one to say it-Ayn is gone)
I suggest we begin by destroying leftist institutions such as public education. 9The leftist pimps are rich but they got there promoting them-NOT EASY)
PERHAPS MANDATORY 401K’S-Take the millennials out of SSI. They’re under age 40 so perhaps they’ll listen.
so how did he get the gig if no one there likes him??

Maybe people at the top need to improve the ratings?
How intolerant those elitist snobs are. I wonder if they all have signs outside their homes reading “Hate has no home here.”
John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd would have no problem with it. Nor would Gilda Radner and even the prim and proper Jane Curtain (who I had a crush on for a while).
This is all about Musk pulling his businesses out of liberal California and moving to conservative (for now) Texas. If he had done it quietly, I think, no-harm-no-foul. But instead Musk chose to make a public issue about the move, and I think that the liberal salons that inform the elites about what to think interpreted Musk’s statements as a sort of declaration of war.
