Know what did go way up? Total deaths. By over 18% from 2019 to 2020. Normal year-over-year increases in total deaths are 0.3% - 0.7%. 523,000 more deaths, out of nowhere. That’s World War II numbers. And no, it wasn’t suicides. Those were down 5% in 2020 (https://www.forbes.com/sites/leahcampbell/2021/04/23/suicide-rates-actually-went-down-in-2020-heres-what-parents-need-to-know/?sh=124547e766d1). And no, it wasn’t drug overdoses. They were up, but a 20% jump in overdoses yields 14,000 additional deaths; not 523,000.
What was going on in 2020 that might account for a bunch of extra deaths? Well, if the 1 million US doctors and 5 million US nurses and millions of medical examiners, lab workers, health department staff, etc. are to be believed, it would be a global pandemic that’s hit every country on Earth. But hey, I guess 7.5 billion people could all be engaging in a massive conspiracy against everyone else.

We are actually having a surge here in colorado. The.good news is with over 70% of the over 70 population vaccinated the cases are primarily in the younger age groups. As a result we have had an increase in hospitalizations with the younger crowd but the death rate is holding steady and even the rabid democrat in the state house is continuing to relax restrictions. As the vaccine is now available to everyone I expect numbers to start to decline. The bottom line is the vaccine works and is protecting the most vulnerable as well as all those who have opted for the vaccine

True, not in 100% of exposures that would infect the unvaccinated. But it does in over 90% of those exposures. For almost all the remaining 10% of the exposures it limits the “case” to being asymptomatIc or mild.
The last place I trust for info is the government.

Your article is 6 months old and doesn’t include any of the new data. It doesn’t say that the vaccines DON’T prevent infection. It states that - as of the time the article was written - the issue of preventing infection was not yet studied.
Guess what: it’s been studied. Guess what: it prevents infection.
The Chinese gave us the virus. President Trump gave us the cure. The Trump vaccines are the solution to the Chinese virus problem.

Negligible administration that doesn’t amount to much until that latter part of January due to the exponential availability. The linear death decline is tied to the initial infection rate ~2 weeks earlier in December.
There’s no way to realistically project the latent, exponential vax administration to the rapid linear decline beginning January.
Ironically as the vax rollout continues so do the “waves”.
As I’ve stated before, I haven’t seen any metrics that yet speak to vaccine success nor failure.
The only wave to happen in the US since the vaccine rollout was so muted and short-lived it barely registered.
Meanwhile, in Israel, they had 1 COVID-19 death yesterday. 2 the day before. At their peak, they were at nearly 100 per day. COVID-19 is basically over in Israel thanks to their mass vaccinations. ALL of Israel’s neighbors are either seeing COVID-19 cases and deaths rise or remain steady. Israel is the only country is a sea of COVID-19 where COVID-19 is done. And they’re the only nation that did a rapid vaccine rollout.
How about you project the vax rollout onto the fatality decline.
