The Covid News You Didn't Hear (Heart disease data placed in the Corona Virus column)
Politcrossing ^ | April 29, 2021 | Jim Cathcart

We have been misled!

Around June 2020, the C.D.C. and most countries RECATEGORIZED their Flu data and Heart disease data to put under the Corona Virus column. It gave the appearance that the leading cause of death, Heart Disease, was drastically removed from the picture by Covid, and the Flu has virtually gone away. (Normal total deaths per week in the US from all causes has been about 60,000 for many years.)

This is ignored information from November of 2020 and Genevieve Briand’s Applied Economics analysis of the data. It’s been over 5 months since this information went public…to a limited audience. I’ve posted a summary of her conclusions plus an excerpt from the johns hopkins News -Letter below.

from Genevieve Briand

“Genevieve Briand, assistant program director of the Applied Economics master’s degree program at Hopkins, critically analyzed the effect of COVID-19 on U.S. deaths using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in her webinar titled “COVID-19 Deaths: A Look at U.S. Data.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TKJN61aflI

(This is a long video presentation but you can forward to the 25 minute mark. Her main observations and why she’s skeptical are presented between times 25 and 45 minutes.)

From mid-March to mid-September, U.S. total deaths have reached 1.7 million, of which 200,000, or 12% of total deaths, are COVID-19-related. Instead of looking directly at COVID-19 deaths, Briand focused on total deaths per age group and per cause of death in the U.S. and used this information to shed light on the effects of COVID-19.

She explained that the significance of COVID-19 on U.S. deaths can be fully understood only through comparison to the number of total deaths in the United States.

After retrieving data on the CDC website, Briand compiled a graph representing percentages of total deaths per age category from early February to early September, which includes the period from before COVID-19 was detected in the U.S. to after infection rates soared.

Surprisingly, the deaths of older people stayed the same before and after COVID-19. Since COVID-19 mainly affects the elderly, experts expected an increase in the percentage of deaths in older age groups. However, this increase is not seen from the CDC data. In fact, the percentages of deaths among all age groups remain relatively the same.

“The reason we have a higher number of reported COVID-19 deaths among older individuals than younger individuals is simply because every day in the U.S. older individuals die in higher numbers than younger individuals,” Briand said.

Briand also noted that 50,000 to 70,000 deaths are seen both before and after COVID-19, indicating that this number of deaths was normal long before COVID-19 emerged. Therefore, according to Briand, not only has COVID-19 had no effect on the percentage of deaths of older people, but it has also not increased the total number of deaths. (True, many people have died from Covid infection but even more have died from other causes while testing positive for Covid.)

These data analyses suggest that in contrast to most people’s assumptions, the number of deaths by COVID-19 is not alarming. In fact, it has relatively no effect on deaths in the United States.

This comes as a shock to many people. How is it that the data lie so far from our perception?

To answer that question, Briand shifted her focus to the deaths per causes ranging from 2014 to 2020. There is a sudden increase in deaths in 2020 due to COVID-19. This is no surprise because COVID-19 emerged in the U.S. in early 2020, and thus COVID-19-related deaths increased drastically afterward.

Analysis of deaths per cause in 2018 revealed that the pattern of seasonal increase in the total number of deaths is a result of the rise in deaths by all causes, with the top three being heart disease, respiratory diseases, influenza and pneumonia.

“This is true every year. Every year in the U.S. when we observe the seasonal ups and downs, we have an increase of deaths due to all causes,” Briand pointed out.

When Briand looked at the 2020 data during that seasonal period, COVID-19-related deaths exceeded deaths from heart diseases. This was highly unusual since heart disease has always prevailed as the leading cause of deaths. However, when taking a closer look at the death numbers, she noted something strange. As Briand compared the number of deaths per cause during that period in 2020 to 2018, she noticed that instead of the expected drastic increase across all causes, there was a significant decrease in deaths due to heart disease. Even more surprising, as seen in the graph above, this sudden decline in deaths is observed for all other causes.

COURTESY OF GENEVIEVE BRIAND  (see above)

Graph above depicts the number of deaths per cause during that period in 2020 to 2018.

Chart above depicts the total decrease in deaths by various causes, including COVID-19.

This trend is completely contrary to the pattern observed in all previous years. Interestingly, as depicted in the table below, the total decrease in deaths by other causes almost exactly equals the increase in deaths by COVID-19. This suggests, according to Briand, that the COVID-19 death toll is misleading. Briand believes that deaths due to heart diseases, respiratory diseases, influenza and pneumonia may instead be recategorized as being due to COVID-19.

The CDC classified all deaths that are related to COVID-19 simply as COVID-19 deaths. Even patients dying from other underlying diseases but are infected with COVID-19 count as COVID-19 deaths. This is likely the main explanation as to why COVID-19 deaths drastically increased while deaths by all other diseases experienced a significant decrease.

“All of this points to no evidence that COVID-19 created any excess deaths. Total death numbers are not above normal death numbers. We found no evidence to the contrary,” Briand concluded.

In an interview with The News-Letter, Briand addressed the question of whether COVID-19 deaths can be called misleading since the infection might have exacerbated and even led to deaths by other underlying diseases.

“If [the COVID-19 death toll] was not misleading at all, what we should have observed is an increased number of heart attacks and increased COVID-19 numbers. But a decreased number of heart attacks and all the other death causes doesn’t give us a choice but to point to some misclassification,” Briand replied.

In other words, the effect of COVID-19 on deaths in the U.S. is considered problematic only when it increases the total number of deaths or the true death burden by a significant amount in addition to the expected deaths by other causes. Since the crude number of total deaths by all causes before and after COVID-19 has stayed the same, one can hardly say, in Briand’s view, that COVID-19 deaths are concerning.

Briand also mentioned that more research and data are needed to truly decipher the effect of COVID-19 on deaths in the United States.

Throughout the talk, Briand constantly emphasized that although COVID-19 is a serious national and global problem, she also stressed that society should never lose focus of the bigger picture — death in general.

The death of a loved one, from COVID-19 or from other causes, is always tragic, Briand explained. Each life is equally important, and we should be reminded that even during a global pandemic we should not forget about the tragic loss of lives from other causes.

According to Briand, the over-exaggeration of the COVID-19 death number may be due to the constant emphasis on COVID-19-related deaths and the habitual overlooking of deaths by other natural causes in society.

(NOTE: My conclusion and observations about Dr. Briand’s presentation and the Johns Hopkins report is this: We’ve been grossly misled.)

Panic over the threat of Covid has been fueled by politicians seeking control. The more fear they induce through the media, the more willing the populace becomes to accepting new restrictions, regulations and taxes. The medical community has been infected with this fear mongering as well. The world’s leading pharmaceutical corporations have profited mightily by the clamor for a vaccine and the public shaming of anyone who didn’t agree to receive it.

Highly respected groups of doctors, researchers, scientists and practitioners have been silenced, ridiculed and ignored by the press when they encouraged calm and reassured us of the safety of such known solutions and treatments as, Hydroxy Choloroquin, Zinc, Vitamin D and other inexpensive remedies. They said this disease is serious but not much more than the seasonal flu which also takes lives annually. That caused them to be immediately silenced.

A profound societal shift has taken place with vast numbers of people embracing the fear of Covid. In many communities, it is considered right and reasonable to require masks in all places of human contact, and parents and children have been taught for over a year now to fear this disease. Mainstream media has done nothing to reduce the fears. Even the White House has denied the science and reinforced the alarm despite profound evidence to the contrary. As recently as President Biden’s speech on April 28, 2020 to a Joint Session of Congress, masks were worn by all present even though all had received the vaccinations.

It is time to expose the myth and relax our fears. Be reasonable, do what you do when the flu, Ebola, AIDS, SARS, MERS, Meningitis and other diseases are present. Practice good hygiene, avoid contact with others when you or they are ill, respect people’s phobias, but get on with life!

And remember, we still need hugs just as often as we ever did. Plus, shaking hands does more to bond a relationship than an “air high five” could ever do. Social distance ought to be a foot or two apart from strangers, as a courtesy, not six feet or more because you fear getting a disease from them. Take the stickers off your retail floors. Give people the option of no mask. Gather in crowds, hold parties, dance, sing, and enjoy life. Touch each other without fear. We have done this for centuries without creating a pandemic, and we didn’t cause one this time either! This was a pandemic created by the media around a new variant of the flu that didn’t need the response we gave it. Open your businesses, your homes, your minds to normal human behavior. Be reasonable but don’t cower in fear. P.S. I am not a doctor and do not have medical qualifications for this advice, so do what works for you, but don’t believe all that you’ve been told, including this report. Do your real research, don’t just trust the headlines and evening news.

We have been misled!

For yet another example of how our government and CDC has done this before go to Mike Wallace on 60 Minutes when he was doing a report on the Swine Flu. Millions were vaccinated (some disabled by the vaccine) and yet only one person died from it while four others recovered and the nation was panicked over a virus that had shown no impact large enough to sound an alarm. https://www.brighteon.com/f4581da9-79f0-46bf-a95e-da69b1da6723

A. we have seen almost no Flu this year. EVEN THOUGH we test for it pretty much every day. In our practice we are seeing essentially zero Influenza. IT’s the same around the country.

B. People with pre existing heart disease, who get Covid and become acutely ill and die, died of their COVID infection , with heart disease as a comorbidity. Thats normal.

This is more bullshit to try and remove the fact that Covid has killed over 500,000 Americans in the last 14 months.

"she noticed that instead of the expected drastic increase across all causes, there was a significant decrease in deaths due to heart disease. Even more surprising, as seen in the graph above, this sudden decline in deaths is observed for all other causes."

Not, surprising, for the CDC has and does allow (or require) for probable/presumed cases (and deaths and for which hospitals can indeed obtain more gov. funding) based upon as little as having unexplained having shortness of breath or a cough and having traveled to or lived in an area with sustained, ongoing community transmission of SARS-CoV-2. Or shortness of breath and and just being a senior citizen or having “close contact” with another probable case.

Below are the pertinent excerpts far that criteria from the CDC page (emphasis mine) Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

…CSTE realizes that field investigations will involve evaluations of persons with no symptoms and these individuals will need to be counted as cases.

Probable

OR

Epidemiologic Linkage

One or more of the following exposures in the 14 days before onset of symptoms:

OR

The above provide minimal criteria by which a person can be classed as being having Covid-19 and dying of the same. And for which hospitals can indeed obtain more gov. funding for them.[2]

Based upon this criteria we can easily surmise that many cases and deaths are being classed as Covid-19 when in reality they are something else, including the flu (cases of which are very low).

It is true that many Covid-19 cases and deaths are not reported, however, unlike cases in which about have have no symptoms, I think it is far more likely that there are more deaths being reported as by Covid-19 then that are missed. The reason for this is because those with symptoms are much more likely to have been tested and diagnosed as having Covid-19 and those with symptoms of the ones most likely to die.

I’m sure Ohio Health Dept will release the actual data of those that died FROM Covid and those that died WITH Covid as instructed by the court. Right? Right?

Whatever you say Karen.

Be sure you wear two masks when you take your daily exercise alone today. You wouldn’t want to give yourself Covid. And don’t you dare go near anyone.

The college town I live in hosts thousands of Chinese students, and my wife works in the economics department with exclusively Chinses grad students. In January 2020 she and I and half the people I know came down with the worst flu of our lives, a few weeks before the scandemic began. It was nasty and took a month to clear out our lungs, but we all survived with little inconvenience.

A couple weeks ago I gave blood at the Red Cross. They test your blood for Covid antibodies and post the results.

Guess what?

I had it. It’s a flu, you ignorant Communist puppet.

Grammar has killed millions of statistical figures because “died of”, “died from” and “died with” are used irresponsibly.

Just to keep an open mind, isn’t it possible to see lower cardiac arrest deaths because people were sedentary for many months on lock down? Less exertion on clogged arteries, less risk of heart attack etc?

"the nation was panicked over a virus that had shown no impact large enough to sound an alarm." How stupid do these people think we are? The stockpiles of masks, etc. were depleted at this time and the Obama/Biden administration didn't bother to replenish them - leaving us as sitting ducks when COVID hit.

99.78% survival rate with liberal padding of the death stats.

Those who were deathly ill and miserable in bed for weeks "survived." Those who had to spend time inpatient in the hospital "survived." Those who have permanent lung damage "survived." Those who are seriously disabled - perhaps permanently - "survived." Those who lost close friends and family "survived." I have never, ever had this many people I personally know get this seriously ill for this long, pass away, or have close friends and family die from "the flu." It is not "a flu" - and it is both stupid and dishonest to claim that it is.

yes, the key to understanding what the cdc and the globalists were doing with covid was always in the excess deaths, which i figured would catch their lies from the beginning.

i did my on calc on this using santa clara county data last summer (causes of death data for the county over time). i found no change.

i also saw this when i came out months ago. the money quote from her original research using historical cdc data:

“When Briand looked at the 2020 data during that seasonal period, COVID-19-related deaths exceeded deaths from heart diseases. This was highly unusual since heart disease has always prevailed as the leading cause of deaths. However, when taking a closer look at the death numbers, she noted something strange. that’s the main game (among several) they are/were playing to scare people to death.

So how many of those who died were under 50, outside of all those ‘fake statistics’ (as you allude)?

But if they are counting most flu cases as COVID-19, COVID-19 is at least partially the flu, and part heart disease, etc.
