Justin Bieber is accused of cultural appropriation with the new hairstyle he is sporting that looks a lot like dreadlocks.
Insider reports “dreads” or “locs,” which the “Peaches” singer previously wore in 2016, are “inextricably associated with Black culture and therefore considered insensitive for white people to wear.”
Syreeta McFadden wrote in The Guardian that the Canadian-born star “could use an education on the hairstyle that has roots in Hinduism, Rastafarianism and black resistance.”
Some point out it’s just a bad look for Bieber, regardless.

That does not look like dreadlocks. It looks like greasy hipster hair from the Woodstock days. They didn’t believe in showers or baths and looked like skinny worthless pieces of offal.

Insensitive? Try stupid beyond all comprehension. Rastafarianism was invented by a man who hated white people. Dread locks are called that because they are intended to strike dread into the hearts of white people.
White people wearing dread locks is analogous to black people wearing Klan robes.
