Experts say Americans WILL have to cut back on meat for the US to meet Biden's climate change goal as president faces pressure to come clean on how he actually plans to slash greenhouse emissions

Americans will have no choice but to reduce meat consumption if President Joe Biden is going to slash greenhouse gas emissions by half in the next 10 years, experts say - even if the president is mum so far on how he'll actually achieve that goal.

Biden hasn't laid out a plan beyond the big number: reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50 to 52 percent from their 2005 levels by 2030.

To do that, experts say meat will have to be a target because of the greenhouse gases emitted in producing and raising beef - especially methane.

My grandfather lived through that.

He never willingly took a .gov handout for the rest of his life.

"I believe Biden. I think this is a goal worthy of being the most important piece of legislation in the history of this country. So, to make this a reality, I suggest we take the city of Chicago and make it fully green. No gas powered vehicles, every building run by alternative energy sources, every restaurant taking beef and pork off of their menus.

Let the city run for five years, capturing every risk, action, issue and decision and building corrective action plans around it. Closely monitor the climate there and see if it changed.

After five years and an independent evaluation of every document, if it turns out this idea worked, we can then do San Francisco, LA, NYC, Philly, Baltimore and St Louis. Same thing as Chicago. If the results are also positive, then we can take it to some of the other cities.

That is the only way to do this.
"

Okay. I'm in, as long as it's confined to the city limits. Not the suburbs, though, because we don't want an enormous exodus of socialist suburbanites to the rural areas. If that were to happen, there would soon be no food at all.

AMEN

Biden & the GREENIES cannot control other countries pollution NOR can they control volcanoes erupting.

We could entirely change the USA Economy & life style & the ‘climate’ problems would NOT change one whit.

“The report called for a 50 percent reduction in meat and sugar consumption as part of a healthy human and planetary diet. It recommended a largely plant-based diet, with small and occasional allowances for meat, dairy and sugar.”

Didn’t Hitler pretty much propose the same thing?

Lol!

PS- hell of a coincidence, but I just now checked Tracking for a package that I'm expecting here in New York City. And it's started out nearly 3,000 miles away on the complete opposite end of the country...Pacoima, Calif! Had never heard of the city or town until now.

Being a logical person and recognizing that ruminants have been emitting "greenhouse" gases for millions of years, I have to wonder how far are they going to take this? Will they systematically wipe out all ruminants on the planet in order to "save" the environment? That would be all cattle, bison, sheep, deer, giraffes, etc. Or is this not about the environment at all, but more about controlling what we eat and how we live?

The left has really pulled off a propaganda victory with the "global warming/climate change" narrative. They have convinced so many people that the gas that is necessary for life to exist is a pollutant that people are willing to go along with anything if they believe it will eradicate that gas.

Just out of curiosity, I looked up "methane" because I am curious about what happens to it. I found a lot of information about sources of methane, heavily stressing manmade sources, along with a claim that it "traps 84 times more heat than CO2." This makes no sense, and no explanation whatsoever is given about the mechanism by which it traps this heat. [The mechanism proposed for CO2 exists, but is not sufficient for CO2 to actually have any effect to raise temperatures or the heat content of the atmosphere. Most energy from the sun is absorbed by objects on the ground.] Methane is consumed rapidly by soil bacteria, and readily reacts with hydroxyl radicals (OH) to form CO2. But we're supposed to be terrified of it.

I don't want to see any discussion of greenhouse gases until someone decides to include molecular and atomic explanations of HOW these gases supposedly trap heat for long periods. From a physical sense, the greenhouse gas hypotheses don't make sense.

Coincidence that the “impossible burger” has hit the market? Maybe, maybe not. It’s not there by demand.

"——that be from pigs, so just going to cost more. Unless you enjoy bacon wrapped filet mignon, which would then be just bacon."

I usually buy Wright's Thick-Cut because the Walmart here stopped carrying Oscar Meyer's Butcher Block Thick-Cut. My local Walmart had no thick-cut bacon at all for at least a month, so since they've gotten it in, I've bought a few packs to stick in my freezer. It's just me, so the bacon I buy lasts much longer.

Someone has to put an end to this “climate change” bull shit once and for all. Trump might have done it during his stolen second term.

That’s one of the reasons they stole the election. A lot of bad people are making LOTS of money off of this hoax.
