Day 410 of “15 Days to ‘Flatten the Curve’” – Year 2, Week 6: “The Birth of the Resistance?” Edition
Vanity | April 26, 2021 | Me

Today marks 13.5 months since the institution of the infamous “Flatten the Curve,” AKA The Deep State’s Plot to Drive Us Crazy, Make Us Stupid, and Take Over the World (in order to make the world safe for China to take it over).

15 days, they told us, for 15 days/roughly two weeks we need to work from home, close non-essential business, cancel concerts, baby showers, cat shows, etc., yada, yada, you know “the thing” (to show my solidarity with a certain awe-inspiring president) in order to give hospitals a chance to gear up for huge, terrible, overwhelming waves of ‘rona patients.

15 days.

Instead, 15 days has now become 410 days. Just think, 410 days is enough time to get pregnant, gestate a child, give birth to a non-preemie baby, conceive another child, and start to think, “Wait, What if this nausea is not because I had a drink of wine for the first time in a year?”

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS:
Except things like this are not happening. The birth rate is going down because people don’t feel like having sex for a wide variety of reasons, including that they cannot stand the person they are married to because they take the opposite viewpoint on all matters regarding the dread virus ‘rona.

In my last post in this series I wrote about how the new lockdowns and threats of lockdowns in France, the Phillipines, and Michigan. French people were not able to scare their government. A Freeper in the Phillipines posted that they are in lockdown there. Whitmer is about to re-close restaurants in Michigan.

Since then, Freepers have posted some articles about very large anti-lockdown and assertive protests in Europe, which curiously, cough cough, our press does not report.

I am glad people are getting out and demonstrating. Maybe they will meet a better mate while doing so and can work on p’oing Bill Gates by conceiving a child with that mate. The child’s grandma, instead of knitting booties, can start sewing masks for when said child turns two, at least if the child is American, because I don’t see much hope of Americans engaging in the large demonstrations necessary to put the Faucists in their place.

Flattening the curve was bound to be a pointless exercise.

Covid was probably brought to this country by around seven people from China and maybe 50 American tourists who had visited Italy.

It only took about 60 people to send the US into an economic tailspin.

Lockdowns needed to be thorough - grocery stores and methadone clinics closed, gas station pumps turned off, public transit stopped, ER doors normally locked, prescriptions phoned in and left on car hoods by the pharmacy, etc.

“Whitmer is about to re-close restaurants in Michigan.”

Restaurants are packed here in Florida.

Here in MO, we had three weeks of lockdown. Most of us in rural MO don’t wear masks or social distance. Workers at any place that deal with food do wear masks. St Louis has a mask mandate. Rolla, a college town seems to as well but I don’t know if it’s mandated or voluntary. All I know is three stores I’ve gone into mandate masks. I won’t be going back.

Springfield MO seems to be about 50/50 mask usage.

I went into an Ace Hardware the other day and at one point, there were 5-6 of us standing in an area less than a 6 foot circle with all of us less than two foot from someone else.

I shook a guy’s hand a few weeks ago.

My wife works at a nursing home and we’re not exactly big on hygiene. She gets hugs and kisses from the rest of us. She doesn’t change her clothes as soon as she gets home.

No matter what we do, we can’t seem to catch COVID.

35 deaths attributed to COVID in this county of 24,000 with two of them being where my wife works. Both of them were in rough shape and likely would have died from the flu or died within a year due to their other health issues. I’d be willing to bet that the other 33 COVID deaths were similar. 80+ with 2-3 comorbidities. Type of people that the flu kills basically.

The Jab is voluntary at the nursing home the wife works at. None of us have gotten the shot. Most other workers have not. When approached with an offer of the Jab, one 89 year old female resident said, keep that shit away from me. Crazy old bat is still alive.

Oh and the kids have been back at school for 3-4 months now with no masks or social distancing. Made me smile when I drove by an elementary school where the kids were all playing at recess.

we had a very good protest/rally (it was small but in a good spot to show no fear to the people driving by) in Monterey on Sat. we were all maskless of course.

imo, the President was right he said he wanted to open up all the Churches for Easter last year, but he ultimately caved on that to his lousy advisors, and that was the end. that was the critical moment when he could have taken the reins and saved us and perhaps his Presidency from the covid hysteria. but i’m sure most of his cloistered lawyers, gope “experts” and cabinet were saying he’d lose the election if he did.

the globalists just took it from there and ran, using covid to steal the election. but hindsight is 20/20. shoulda, coulda, woulda.

It’s good we have states so that at least around half the people in the country can have normal lives.

Still, though, the half that doesn’t have a normal life isn’t doing anything about it.

72, high risk, NOT been sick, except the usual age junk acting up, Hay Fever, yearly thing, had Bronchitis in Dec 2019. Along comes Faucet and his mask crap, fogs up my glasses, flips out my hearing aids...Not age related, ENT Shot 2 laser holes in my Left ear to treat Meniere’s, screws up my hearing. Then every store you can go in has a out of Frequency mike, some idiot screaming about wearing useless mask, and triggers a 2nd attack. More hearing loss, gain a cane for Vertigo. Which I took apart and added in nearly 2 lbs of steel nuts to make a Billy Club, all those NO Gun doctors leave you unprotected. Billy Club better than nothing.

The first part of your post made sense. The above did not. Maybe you were being sarcastic and I couldn’t quite tell?

Last week I went out to eat for the first time in 13 months, because I cannot abide in the mask foolishness.

The hired help all wore masks. About 50% of the diners wore masks. The place was absolutely packed.

“These people are MORONS. all the kids KNOW IT”

How old is your son?

What does he say all the kids say about this Covid and mask stuff?

I am curious. I don’t have access to kids to ask.

(That came out wrong. You know what I mean. I don’t have kids and neither do my peers.)
