The last couple of days have been filled with exciting news for technology magnate Elon Musk, who is CEO of electric carmaker Tesla and chief engineer of SpaceX, an aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company.
NBC announced over the weekend that Musk would host Saturday Night Live on May 8. The iconic sketch-comedy show is in its 46th season.

Well, I'll be busy getting my beauty sleep. I can't remember the last time I thought SNL was funny

I haven’t watched it since Gilda Radner. But I am very curious to see what this guy has to say.

Might be the best SNL in years, or the worst. But I haven’t watched TV in many years, so I’ll just wait for the commenting on his performance.

Elon is a wild man. I don’t care for SNL but I will watch anything with Elon running his mouth with lots of cool crazy stuff coming out of it

Considering he could buy NBC out of his own pocket I’m sure they’re was very little dissent from the cast when it came time to ask him to host

The last snl I saw was Eddie’s return in 2019. That and Sandler’s return in May 2019 were the last two shows. Gave up snl for good since then.

Apart from the tenure of Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy SNL hasn't been worth watching since Belushi and Akroyd left...1979.

True. May have to tune in, for the first time in DECADES!
Send NBCBS a message, if nothing else.

Cordwainer Smith is an SF writer whose work is way out of the ordinary.
THE BALLAD OF
LOST C’MELL

She was a girly girl and they were true men, the lords of creation, but she pitted her wits against them and she won. It had never happened before, and it is sure never to happen again, but she did win. She was not even of human extraction. She was cat-derived, though human in outward shape, which explains the C in front of her name. Her father’s name was C’mackintosh and her name was C’mell. She won her trick against the lawful and assembled Lords of the Instrumentality.

Thanks for linking that. I had hoped Jestocost would have ended up with C’mell. Nice little story.
