Dove too deep, whether intentional or not.
One of Our Submarines - Thomas Dolby
“The Nanggala was built in Germany and joined the Indonesian fleet in 1981. It underwent a refit in South Korea that was completed in 2012 and the vessel was said to be in good condition, according to Reuters.”
I don’t know if it’s changed in recent years but most southern Asians I knew of, Indians, Pakis, etc don’t believe in preventive maintenance. They go by the adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Amazing...IMO, a testament to the screening and training of the crews...
The US Navy treats Planned Maintenance like a religion, with the PMS manual their Bible.
It is my experience that the philosophy has not changed.
