How much farther to go before woke Coke hits rock bottom?

Some of our best paid CEOs are failing miserably to remember what a business is for.

Maybe we should call it "the pause that doesn't refresh" anymore. At least, a lot of people are saying that as they overlook Coke for something else. This is the latest from the long list of companies who listen to "the wokes" in H.R. rather than the customers who keep them in business. Check this out:

Mere weeks after going public with stern words about the new election law in Georgia, Coca-Cola has become far more muted in its corporate bellowing. Now, we know why. A new poll has come out to show more than pushback from select citizens has taken place; there is widespread rejection of the company's bold pronouncement, becoming just the latest in a growing list of companies who have suffered self-imposed, negative PR.

What a bunch of sissies, if I'm still allowed to use that word in this cancel culture.

First, they don't read the law and go on TV to repeat the talking points that the wokes gave them. Second, they run away when the cash registers stop ringing.

The question is, why do they do it? Nobody consumes a soft drink to endorse or reject a political idea. We have elections and debates to do that. We consume this or that because we like it and not much more.

When will the shareholders rise? I guess they will when the next quarterly earnings come in and their checks are a little smaller.

Once upon a time, I took business courses in school and learned that a company's mission is to make the best product or offer the best service in the market.

As Peter Drucker wrote: "The purpose of business is to create and keep a customer."

The deep, unrelenting irony here is that the gibmedats don't. drink. Coke.

Great Value "Cola", Kroger/Ralph's "Cola Time" & "Big K Creme Soda", but especially Faygo "Red Pop".

So this woke coke joke is actually a hard-core racist by not lowering his price point or just giving away his product, and he should be made to answer to Karamela's upcoming US Commission on Race & Reparations, and sent away for rehabilitation. Chairman Xiden wills it.

Business failure didn’t show up in Enron’s stock prices either until they couldn’t cook the books any longer.

My company had business with Coca Cola in the late 1990s

I found the factory people were OK, but anyone in management was awful. They were uniformly slick, shallow, trend-following, overpaid marketing types.

I could see conformist “woke” ideology sweeping through such a group like the plague.

If enough people stop ordering it in restaurants, the restaurants will stop carrying it and switch to something else. Order water which is free, tell them you would rather have a cola but are boycotting Coke

The important thing is finding something you like.

Has to many other products, while Coke may go down, did you buy Dr Peppers, or other Coke products. A generic, All are Coke or Pepsi made.

Or they are GASTRO PATIENTS like me who don’t buy any sodas anyway.

Same goes for all generic brands, that bread bakery, cereal maker, makes Kellogg’s, Nabisco and all store brand. You just don’t pay for a advertised brand. Might save 50 cents a package.

Wanna bet Deep State is making up for any losses?

If WokaCola and/or its distributors is/are suddenly awash in Government contracts, three guesses why.

Hope someone is checking.

As for the shareholders rising up, take a good look at the institutional ownership of the companies going woke.

Rise up?

SNORT.

Coke makes lots of different products - and they make ‘knock-offs for down scale markets (generics)... We need a list of all their products ...

Still amazed one of these woke CEO’s has not faced a shareholder class action lawsuit.

That is EXACTLY what should happen. They should face the very angry, PO'ed shareholders and get their butts sued.

That is funny! I was at the Veterans Hospital recently here in Tucson and they still don’t have official portraits of the SCROTUS in the frames. Perhaps I’ll sneak one of yours in. (SCROTUS= So Called Ruler Of The United States)

That is true, but they make less and stores make more and sometimes it’s the company themselves or a smaller company.
