Texas Republican George P. Bush has declared 2019 the “Year of Education” at the General Land Office, and he’s using that banner to travel around the state to stress how important it is to hit the books.
It’s a lesson he freely admits he didn’t always apply himself.
The heir to the Bush dynasty was on the road to flunking out at Rice University in Houston after two years. He might have been born into politics, but he failed a political science class called “Public Opinion, Polling & The Media.” Right before that he got a C-minus in “Congress” — the branch of government where his grandfather and great-grandfather (the P in his name is for Prescott) once served.
And though he’s the son of a Mexican immigrant and grew up bilingual, he got C's in introductory and intermediate Spanish classes, and D’s in European history and a geology course called “The Oceans.”

The posted article makes P! sound so wonderful, right up to the last paragraph, where he tells the school district in his job application that he wants to be an agent of social change.
If he was telling the truth then, he’s a dangerous progressive. If he was lying to them to get the job, he will lie to the voters to get elected, won’t he? Is everything he has done as Land Commissioner all pure theater for us rubes?

I had to look the program up and it was a three week course called the Direct Commission Officer program. Wow three weeks!
When it comes to politics... anyone named “Bush” is a dead man walking. They have got no chance to achieve any wide spread success at all. The bridges have been burned and there is no chance of a return to the way things once were ever. They just do not know it because they are able to seal themselves up in a tight cocoon that insulates them from the obvious writing on the wall.

When I get settled in my new place, I am going to purchase the painting of the modern Republican presidents playing cards and having a drink - Reagan, Trump, Eisenhower, TR Roosevelt and Nixon look larger than life and are very convivial. Bush, Sr. is not seated at the table but is standing there smiling; and the miscreant son GW is at the table but seems rightly shrunken in appearance by comparison. This failure looks like he doesn’t belong there, and he does not.

I sucked in high school and learned to study in college. Good for him for turning his grades around.
I am really discouraged when I start seeing articles about these kind of people. They are making third or fourth generation living off American tax payers. The sad part is they aren’t even Americans. Not based on skin color at all but on patriotism for their country. They just want to inherit the good life with no heart for others. Shame shame on them all.
