I'm wondering how StarLink will affect the internet. With no landlines or Earth based power needed to operate the network, and you just aim your dish into space, wouldn't this be a lot like HAM?

Do you know how well 60 meters worked last summer with the doldrums affecting 40 meters?
Real well ... in Texas and adjoining states monitoring CH 4 works out real well.

Programming some Ham Radios, can get quite tedious using the keys manually. Here is the Chirp software for programming many Ham Radios. Link here
Chirp Home Page.
The Chirp program is easy to use, but will need a USB cable for each brand of Ham Radio. It has free downloads that run on Windows, Mac, and Linux. I used it to program my Kenwood TM281A and it worked very well.
