There is no emergency frequency. 146.52 simplex is kind of the 2M universal hailing frequency. All radios can scan this and it’s useful while traveling on the road. I keep it in all my 2M rigs. It is also used for informal chat or as a contact point. You can then move anywhere your license allows.
Yaesu makes good stuff. So does Icom, like the IC-7300.

2 meters might get you 40 miles in simplex. A repeater might double that.
Each local emergency response group has set frequencies. They are usually on a web site. Do a search of AREA or RACES group in your area.
Our local two meter group is dead. Except for emergency net call-up drills.
Wish I could afford a Yaesu... :P
