From the media’s response to the vaccinated Cruz’s decision, you’d think that he had a full-blown infection and had coughed in an old lady’s face.
The vaccine was promised to the American public as a way to return to normal. It has become clear, though, that leftists, from the Biden administration, to Fauci, to every media talking head, do not want a return to normal. They like seeing people’s individuality erased and, most importantly, to see them fearful, for fear feeds into government control. That may explain why the entire leftist media establishment collapsed in a collective fainting fit when Ted Cruz announced that, like Sen. Rand Paul before him, he was done with the masks.
The Hill, which is a leftist outlet dedicated to news about Congress, started off with a straight quote from Cruz about his plan and the reasons behind it (emphasis added):
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said on Thursday that he will no longer be wearing a mask at the Capitol since he is fully vaccinated.
“At this point I’ve been vaccinated. Everybody working in the Senate has been vaccinated,” Cruz told CNN. “CDC has said in small groups, particularly with people who were vaccinated, don’t need to wear masks.”
Cruz’s totally logical take on the matter did not comfort The Hill. In the very next paragraph, it reminded readers that the CDC says vaccinated people should still wear masks “in large groups of people.” But of course, as the highlighted language shows, Cruz had been specific that he was talking about go mask-free in “small groups.”
To normal people, Cruz’s position makes eminent sense and is a harbinger of a return to an America in which you can see people smile. Nothing about our mainstream media, though, is normal.

I went to a funeral in Florida a week ago. Over a hundred people and the few that showed up wearing masks took them off because everyone else was not wearing a mask.
They’re doing this because putting us in obvious chains and shackles, like the “good old days” is bad optics.
/F the plantation
I believe most people wear them to avoid conflict.
Yep. I live in Florida and it’s slowly happening. People still come into our shop (mostly old) wearing them and we tell them it’s not needed. They rip them off in relief. Very few places want you to wear them. They are however laying all over the parking lots and ground on the side of the roads.
“They like seeing people’s individuality erased and”
people erased. They are evil.
I play in a 6 v 6 volleyball league.
Almost everyone is in their 20’s, and I’m in my 40’s.
I was the only person not wearing a mask while playing...
The masks laying in the parking lots turn my stomach like finding used bandages...gross!
Silly masks don’t work the way they were claimed to anyway. Masks only serve to capture and incubate any of a number of pathogens that affect the respiratory tract, greatly exacerbating what would have been only a minor problem into a life-threatening situation.
You want to protect yourself from direct contact with airborne disease-laden aerosol droplets, wear a transparent face shield. Easier to breathe through, and deflects the aerosols quite effectively. Plus facial recognition.
Lol. That’s exactly what I think when I see them. Or a used diaper.
True. Years ago the company I worked for made everyone in management take the Brinkman Test. Turns out I was more comfortable with conflict than 98% of the population. My boss saw those results and said “no wonder”.....
This week in Lakeland Florida is the Sun n Fun Airshow week. There’s more folks without masks than those with them. They’re supposed to enter the buildings with them on. There’s a “guard” at every exhibit hangar to enforce the rule but people ignore them.
I know, my boss took the day off today and is taking his Sunday school kids. We heard the jets all day yesterday. Our shop is across from Legoland. I am surprised they are making people to wear them. I know publix is still asking people but no one is saying anything if you don’t wear it.
I had to look that up. It’s called The Birkman Test. Not that I want to start a conflict. LOL
I know I saw come out wrong to late. Auto-correct is not a friend. :)
I now park my car as far away as possible to suck in the fresh air, get hit by a few rays of sunshine and get some extra exercise.
All these to counter wearing the useless mask.
As I've said on many threads since the madness began, anybody who supported public smoking bans in the past few decades can take a deep bow and pat themselves on the back. The loss of freedoms due to COVID is merely an outgrowth of the war on cigarette smokers. It's behavior modification done in the name of "public health."
When it was limited to cigarette smokers and their "deadly second hand smoke," many non-smokers were happy to join in the dogpile. Now that the bar has been lowered to, "deadly second hand breath," and applied to everybody, they find that it's not so fun anymore.
Right on Ted!
I see people here in Houston driving down the road alone or walking alone down a street or in a park...wearing masks. No one within 100 feet of them. Crazy man.
I guess some folks just fall in lock step when ordered to do so.
Two weeks ago we went to an Amish farm auction in Pennsylvania. 2000 amish, 500 others. Very few masks, none among the Amish.
It felt so great to be among humans.
