He had a soulful, deep voice at age 19. Too bad his singing career didn't last very long.
Been Rick Rolling since the 1990’s.
I remember seeing one of Rick’s videos on MTV - don’t remember which one - and thinking, “There’s NO way that voice is coming from that guy!”
I have to admit I had second thoughts about clicking on this link . . .
I love it when Joe Pags “Rickrolls” a caller on his radio show.
He’s worth about $20 million, because of that one song. He’s not doing badly.

Fight Me.
If you had never seen Rick Astley you could be forgiven for thinking you were listening to a 40 year-old black guy.
He has a YouTube channel that has some decent songs on it. Yeah, I’ve subscribed to it.
Anyone notice that there are some white singers with just as powerful voices as black singers? Darryl Hall and Robert Palmer comes to mind.
someone tell him it’s all a joke
“almost 20 years later,”
It’ll be 24 years, come July. Nevermind, it’s Daily Mail.
Rick Rolling is new to people?
Every time I hear it, I think of Rush. It was in his bumper rotation.
In preparation for a meeting, I placed a link to that video in one of the preparation document links. Two coworkers under 30 told me I made a mistake. Another in his mid 40s got a kick out of it. It was fun to explain Rick Rolling to the younger folks, but they still only politely laughed.
Funny, I guess he got the opposite of the Christopher Cross curse.
He’s got a durn good voice, though. Actually, they both did. Just one was too ‘cute’, and the other not, I guess. :P
