What if the 1963 movie Jason of the Argonauts had smoother stop-motion animation for its effects scenes made by the famous Ray Harryhausen? I used an AI program to interpolate the scene to a higher frame rate to see what that would look like.
You liked a similar video I did about 1933's King Kong, so I thought I'd do a sequel of sorts. What do you think of the results?
✨ Programs used: -I used Flowframes with RIFE to interpolate the framerate from 23.98 fps to 191.74 fps and then used FFMPEG to reduce that back to 60 fps. Flowframes is free and you can find it here: https://nmkd.itch.io/flowframes

Um, aren’t you forgetting Mary Sue?
The ruins of the acropolis looked just as bad in that intended time period of the movie as they do today.
That’s right—you can’t have a strong male role model anymore. It needs to be an 85 lb. lesbian woman who could eat Superman for breakfast.
Josie and the Argonauts?
Coolest scene in motion picture history.
I definitely notice the difference.
When I recall seeing those kinds of films for the first time, I noticed the jerkiness too. We all did. I actually think that stiff, jerky quality makes the beasts look that much creepier. It adds to the bizarre fantasy of seeing such creatures in motion.
That uncertain, birdlike shakiness is often seen in Zombies. One does not expect Zombies or dangerous beasts bourne of mad incantations to move with grace and fluidity. Think Elsa Lancaster in the scene where she awakens as Bride of Frankenstein.
Shorter response: I don’t consider the original stop motions to be “Broke”.
First thing to go is the pistol in Yukon Cornelius’s belt....and I don’t even want to think about the scene where Yukon,Hermie, and Rudolf are in bed together.
LOL, those were the days!
...and written / directed by SJWs and "Woke Allies."
Regards,
The Greeks like to think that they invented sex - but it was the Romans who finally introduced it to women.
Regards,
Me either
While they are at it, they can do a favor to a great British actor, Laurence Naismith, and air-brush out Argus’ +!+$.
very cool...
Good one! Lol!
I liked him in Jason. Gwangi, too.
It looked the same and IT LOOKED AWESOME!
Okay, THAT got me to laugh out loud!
Many of the WWII b&w actual battle films have been colorized and are great. Imagine colorization of some of the great old movies from the 1930-40s...
