Getting that second dose is essential in order to get the fullest possible protection against the virus, experts say.
There are a few exceptions to the two-dose rule — such as having an immediate or severe allergic reaction to the first dose — but so far, being a COVID-19 survivor isn’t one of them.
“This has been rumored for a long time, that people with preexisting disease only need a single dose to get really long-lasting immunity,” said Dr. George Rutherford, an infectious disease epidemiologist at UC San Francisco.
The researchers found that in the COVID-19 survivors, a single dose of vaccine boosted antibody levels against several different coronavirus variants by up to a thousandfold — and that a second dose essentially offered no additional benefit. Meanwhile, the people with no history of infection had lower antibody levels after two doses of vaccine than the previously infected people had after just one. Those findings were reported last month in the journal Science.
France’s health authority has already issued a recommendation that those who had a confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection take just one dose of vaccine, even if their infection didn’t result in symptoms of COVID-19.

Shoot me now please.
I have Covid. Was moderate symptoms. Now mild.
I had the antibodies infusion.
Was told not to get a vaccine for 90 days.
Now why would they tell me that? Why would I even need a “vaccine” even after the 90 days?
Don’t know.
For the very elderly and infirm, their antibodies may not be very robust and need some help — and thus a booster.
But for everyone else? It’s actually narrowing your broad scope of antibodies.
In short, the best defense against COVID is surviving COVID.
They aren’t telling people that, though.
Which is very curious.
A very logical question that I am looking for the answer to. Also, how long does wuhan antibodies last for? No one seems to know so why get a vaccine when you are already protected?
What I see a lot of is “Variants”
Brazil Covid, European Covid, South African, etc.
So just because you had Covid, or you have taken a EUA vaccine or even both - you still need more of the same as Corona Virus mutates.
Fear porn or fact? Who knows?
Eh, the actual virus gives broad protection, even against variants.
Sure, it drops from 99.9 to 80s, but that’s still better than JJ vaccine.
And it’s doubtful you’d have as serious of a case.
My wife was having a discussion with her doc.
Doctor said take the first available vaccine. Wife said; “Even the J&J vaccine which is now proven to be less effective and has a 79% effectiveness score? Why not take the 2 shot Moderna which is rated at 97%?
A few sentences of medical mumble jumble followed.
My wife has been on the Vitamin D, C, and zinc regimen for months. We both believe that is why she did not catch Covid from me.
Who should have been on the same regimen.
I’ve been advising any family or friends who are planning to get the vaccine to first test if they already have antibodies. The medical teams administering the vaccine don’t care and are not going to test you, so be proactive and don’t take a shot you don’t really need.
I messaged you but people on blood thinners also need to be given extra warning and advised caution.
A new day, a new covid rule change.
Enough for what?
BINGO! (You obviously are a troublemaker!) ;-)
Enough to theoretically not get Covid positive. 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you, yes, good points. Also, people with some autoimmune diseases might want to think twice about it as it could potentially cause a flare up in their (controlled) disease.
The truth is if you have had the covid then you don’t need the shot. Ever.
That is the way God designed our bodies.
What your wife took (D3, C, and zinc) was the wisest choice.
J&J, Moderna, Pfizer and AstraZeneca are all working with gene therapy and their products have been misnamed as "vaccines" to make people think it is something that it is not. They are actually introducing a substance that is foreign to the human body. The lipid packet which encloses the RNA or DNA nano-bit was designed by the scientists to bypass the immune system while it sets up shop in the cells where it then replicates itself.
The ugly little secret is that the spike protein does a real number on the part of the immune system that is responsible for cleaning up and getting rid of inflammation. All the problems people are experiencing from the shot is a result of uncontrolled inflammation.
We are all told that the shot is going to "teach" the immune system how to react to the covid. Why would our immune system need to be "taught" how to react to a virus? Our immune system when given the proper nutrients, does a pretty bang up job - God designed the system.
The shot is an experimental gene therapy and I am not willing to take that huge risk.
I read a lot of information and I don't rely on the lamestreamers for my medical advice.
They're dropping around me like flies-from the vaccines. The new dodge is to call the reaction to the vaccines covid. The real knee slapper is they told one woman that the vaccine she got a few days earlier, helped her get through covid.
If a plane full of Canadians crashes on the border of Canada and the USA, which side will they bury the survivors?
