The family of a model who was left brain-damaged after having a serious allergic reaction to a peanut butter-infused pretzel was awarded nearly $30 million by a Las Vegas jury.
Chantel Giacalone’s family was awarded the $29.5 million sum Friday when a jury found that the responding ambulance service negligently treated her in 2013, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
“At least my daughter will be taken care of. I’m happy about that,” her father, Jack Giacalone, said after the verdict was read.

Va va voom
I will take care of her.
Compare her to Kamala’s stepdaughter, the new version of a supermodel, lol
If I had that bad of an allergy, I would not eat anything I did not prepare myself.
Did she not know she had the allergy?
Maybe it was a suicide attempt.
Never mind. I was just being perverted because of the picture posted.
That’s crazy it messed her up that much.
I feel bad now.
She is heinous.
Now that she has $30 million, she can fly to the Louvre to get miraculously healed.
Possibly not. With the artificial chemicals they often put in foods, you can’t always know when you’re going to come across something really bad for you.
If she was that allergic why didn’t she carry her own epinephrine pen with her?
I could find three tweakers at any WalMart late at night that look just like her.
Yet if she had a reaction to a vaccine....
SHE WOULD GET NOTHING!!!
The fashion industry is largely comprised of gays who pick models that look like 12 y/o boys.
Why wouldn’t they have sued the “friend” that put the bite sized peanut butter filled pretzel on top of the yogurt instead of the hopital?
That’s interesting. My husband is suffering from the results of malpractice at a hospital in Reno and no lawyer would take the case and finally one told me that Nevada had passed a law capping the awards at 300k. So every bad Dr can practice in NV and not have to worry.
I guess the EMT’s weren’t covered by that law.
this is nuts!
Exactly.
Yet look at all the folks scrambling to get their shots.
Crazy world!!
