Boeing Co. stock traded lower Friday after the aerospace and defense company late Thursday flagged a new problem with 737 Max jets, with at least one Wall Street analyst saying that a fix would be easy and cause “minimal disruption” for Boeing customers.

Think I'd rather take a DC-10 at this point.

 Or a Boeing 747.

The 737 is a good plane and I have no issues flying on one with American pilots.

How times have changed. We would say “If ain’t Boeing, I ain’t going.” My Dad worked on 727s years ago. The Boeing planes of old were built with so much pride. But I don’t trust Airbus. With the restriction at the airport, at this point I just rather not fly.

Oh how comforting. At 35,000 feet going almost 600 mph, at least it’s an “easy fix”...sure...
I think I’ll pass, thank you very much.

I don’t think it’s a good thing that it almost immediately needed a year-long fix, and now needs more.

    Completely different animal.
737: Short and medium distance small cabin. 2 engines.
747: Long distance heavy hauler huge cabin. 4 engines.
On most routes the 737 is used on, using a 747 would be like doing pizza delivery in a tractor-trailer rig.

“Year-long” had nothing to do with “fix.”

I haven’t followed it that close. Were they just keeping them grounded until the bad press went away? Having to do it again easy for an ‘easy’ fix doesn’t give me confidence.

So they don’t even tell you anything meaningful about what the problem is. A near worthless article.

The 737 is a good plane and I have no issues flying on one with American pilots. The 737-Max is not the same as the 737. There are structural changes.

    Fast forward 2025:
Actual cause of crash—pilots having gay sex in the cockpit.
NTSB explanation—censored, censored, censored, censored...error...censored, censored, censored.
The censorship will be due to national security, of course (like China, Russia, and Iran won’t know our pilots are perverts).

737 max- more complexity requiring sharp pilot skills
United - lets change major requirement for pilot to be sex and race and pilot skills secondary
What possibly can go wrong here?
Over next 10 years will make the L-1011 look like the safest plane ever
Changing the phrase “If its a Boeing Hell now I aint going!!!
