Well, folks, it seems Kramer was right -- Jerry Seinfeld is actually a very fancy boy, so fancy that he can apparently defy the laws of basic architecture and physics alike, as evident through the bizarro design of his iconic Upper West Side apartment in his eponymous '90s sitcom.
Earlier this week, Reddit user u/PixelMagic made a shocking discovery -- based on an intricately detailed overhead rendering of Jerry's beloved bachelor pad, the apartment cannot exist as depicted in the show, the unit's extended kitchen drastically bisecting the line of his hallway, much to the disappointment of Redditors everywhere.
“Only Kryptonian tech could explain that phantom hallway, which means, maybe, just maybe, when people walk down it, they’re actually in the Phantom Zone,” wrote one user. “This is infuriating," chimed in another.
fans still attempted to justify the snafu, citing other dimension-related issues ("Neither can a 12" deep side by side refrigerator,") and questioning what goes on beyond the camera's typical scope ("There could be the staircases or an elevator.")
One popular theory? Debating if his hallway took a sharp turn shortly after. While technically they are correct in asserting such a twist is physically possible, a design like that would not only make for an extremely strange architectural segmentation but would seemingly contradict other depictions of Jerry's building. On season 8's “The Soul Mate,” Jerry finds himself chasing his arch-nemesis, Newman, through the halls of their building, a pursuit notably beginning outside of Jerry and Kramer's apartments. As Newman takes off with Jerry following close behind, both appear to head straight down a long corridor, with a second shot showing the two appearing to run straight ahead.
“… just remember, it’s not a lie if you believe it.”

I think it was filmed on a “make believe set”
First episode I ever watched was The Finale on the original broadcast date(s). Still didn’t quite get it. Didn’t recognize a single character. That was after a decade of folks saying “Hey, you look like Seinfeld.” Or “Hey, you look like Kramer!”
The second episode I ever saw in reruns was The Handicap Spot. Then I got it.
I saw one or two episodes of Friends and thought of it as a chick flick sitcom.
A lot has been written about the Bundy house in Married with Children.
“Not the Farbman!”
Kramer’s bed and breakfast...
Yeah - the finale was one huge inside joke. And since you never watched, you were on the outside!
Florida. Lots of skeets in FLA.
is that, that dipstick architect Bradys house?
I never saw a single episode while it was in 9 years of production
“How did you get this in here?”
this chair stinks...
Yep, here's the exterior as well, lol.
It could be a dead end corridor which is code if the corridor is not longer that 20 feet without sprinklers.
AGREED!
Superman extends his antigravity field to whatever object he's trying to pick up. People think he's strong, but he's just a gravitational mass trickster. (also stops bullets by removing their mass automagically). You see an example of the former in the one good Superman movie with Christopher Reeves when he takes Lana Lane for a spin and she's only touched the tips of his hands as she flies alongside.
I loved Northern Exposure, me own self.
Yet he ducks when somebody throws an emptied gun at him.
I didn’t watch Seinfeld much.
:D
I couldn’t differentiate Newman from Costanza, or the guy being robbed from Newman (how did that guy get to Massachusetts??) I didn’t immediately recognize Wayne Knight or John Pinette from their other roles.
