1983? That’s it? LOL! Still rockin’ at 73 thank God. Have a gig with some buddies Saturday afternoon for a private party. Then an open acoustic jam next Wednesday then a two night acoustic gig the 16th/17th.......... Enjoying it while I can. May even play a couple of the songs on the list.

My dad had his own swing orchestra in the 40s and 50s. He taught my mom how to play drums. They were based in western Colorado.

Mostly songs that were overplayed when they first came out. No thanks.

I have never heard over a third of these and I don’t believe that I want to.

My dad was also a big Johnny Cash fan. As well as Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Patsy Cline and Wanda Jackson, to name a few more.

The 70’s and 80’s were ‘my’ music, so I like a lot of these songs. :)

Unless I missed it, I would add some Pretenders; ‘Brass in Pocket,’ ‘I Go To Sleep’ ‘I’ll Stand By You,’ ‘My City Was Gone’ - Rush’s show intro theme song! :)

I’m more vinyl but it’s a good cassette list.

I’m 63 and there are maybe six songs on that list I would listen to.

Missing a LOT of formative grunge rock and neo/alternative rock from the late 90s/early 00s. As an 80s baby, I can get down on most of this, but as a pure rock/metal enthusiast, this list is missing a lot of good stuff.

Well, at least it's all music - which faded out in the 90's when grunge and rap destroyed rock and R&B, respectively. Music is still being made, but is nowhere close to being as popular as it once was.

They’re not just dad rock, they’re grandad rock as well. That’s the way it goes, it’s called ‘time’.

I disagree with at least half of your comments.

I am old enough to fit into that category and remember that time quite well.

A more detailed rebuttal coming shortly. ‘Pod
