Princeton has offered admission to its class of 2025 to 1,498 applicants. According to numbers provided by the University, fewer than nine percent of them (129 out of the 1498) are white American males. Of that small number many — perhaps most — are recruited athletes.
68 percent of the admitted applicants identify as “persons of color.” 14 percent identify as international students. 52 percent are female. 48 percent are male.

Anyone surprised by this hasn’t been paying attention
It’s actually good news if the “top” schools are moving beyond tutoring, volunteer stuff, living abroad, goody 2-shoes community work, etc., for their selection process. That’s what the privileged suburban kids loaded up on to get in to such places. Tough sports training and musical practice became par for such kids trying like heck to make that cut. It’s the sort of thing that led to crazy grade inflation and silliness like dozens of valedictorians at a single school.
Doesn’t Princeton still fashion itself as more of a research institution? If so, do they perhaps fill their few actually competitive slots with overachieving Asian-Americans who get turned away from the other Ivys?
No big deal.
Another non-racist group of colleges will rise to to supplant these formerly important colleges.
Degrees from an Ivy used to mean something — smart, rich, or connected — that was useful to a business. I went to MIT (not really an Ivy) and it still means you are probably pretty geeky and smart. Not for long, I suspect.
A bunch of nobodies with nice, but no special attributes but their skin color is meaningless to someone who wants good employees.
So these colleges will become irrelevant in 20 years.
I won’t hire anyone from Princeton. Granted not many will want good engineering jobs in Alabama. So not an issue.
My grandkids will NOT be growing up in this country, nor should they. Let it rot.
A subtle form of reparations. While they won’t out and out give minorities direct cash payments, they will make sure white males have limited opportunities to accumulate wealth. Keeping them out of top fight universities (such as they are) is just one method of doing this or so they think
MIT grad here, too. I quit donating 2 years ago. They still have very high admission scores but are just too woke for me now. Expect quality of grads to go down at some point.
Would be interesting to see if the grad schools are just as dumb with admissions. Would hope they aren’t and suspect not as bad.
Asians are even more discriminated against. The scores they need for medical school are crazy.
The “Ivy League” has become a bad joke like the once-Golden State of California.
What percentage of them are gay? More than 2%?
“Should’ve claimed she was transitioning to male, they’d have fallen all over her, er, “him”, to give ‘em a full-ride scholarship.”
Don’t laugh. My friend’s niece wrote her college essay about how difficult it was to come out as a lesbian to her horrible Christian family (spoiler alert: she isn’t a lesbian) and she got into every single college she applied to, including several Ivies she wasn’t remotely qualified for.
Princeton: Founded by Aaron Burr’s father and educated Aaron and James Madison while in their early teens, maintained a superior education until the 21st Century. Like everything else, in education so much depends on leadership, and in that realm Princeton has relinquished any claim to fame. Its number one ranking is a joke.
For a couple of hundred years, the First Congregational Churches in MA usually had a Harvard trained preacher.
“Asians are even more discriminated against. The scores they need for medical school are crazy“
They do that with Jews, as well, but the new application forms make it harder to tell if one is Jewish, so they look for clues.
My eldest daughter very coyly hid she was Israeli and used her mother’s maiden name (which is Arabic origin, due to distantly having a French Moroccan Jew in the woodpile). Worked like a charm.
Where did she end up going?
Wow. Congrats on your daughters many accomplishments. Our high school sends many grads to the ivys and military academies. Never to Princeton. Only one male that I can remember and he was a student athlete.
How many trannies?
That is sad.
